By the time he appeared, the show was stale, wasn't funny anymore, and garrett morris himself acted silly. I know he probably had a contract on SNL in the seventies, but he would have been better used back then. I also didn't like the fact they he also played George and Weezy's adopted "son"

I have to respectfully disagree. He actually made the show funny with his appearances in the 80's episodes and wish he was in more of them. I think he was in a total of 4. But I enjoyed all of his appearances.

Example below


George: "Why are you 40?

Jimmy: "because I was 39 last year"

He wasn't bad, I was just saying because of the show's state at the time he appeared, it would have been more of a big deal in the 70s.

But I know what you mean, it would have been fun seeing him around the 1975 George rather than the 1984 George who had been toned down for years
