With Iron Man 3 setting the international box office on fire over the last few days, it’s clear that Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is well underway. The MCU kicked off officially in 2008 with the release of Iron Man, and though that film didn’t focus at all on getting the pieces assembled for The Avengers – as the mere notion was just a dream back then – it set a solid framework that all other films in the web could follow.

Entertaining though most of the films in the MCU are, there’s no denying the fact that there have been some cringe-inducing and regrettable moments along the way, ones we would rather not have to think about going forward. Here are the 10 biggest mistakes made in the MCU (so far)…

Most of these are somewhat valid, but the Norton one is dead wrong. Ruffalo's vastly overrated in Avengers; Norton completely captured Banner in his film and would have been much stronger than Ruffalo, IMHO. Since when is Bruce Banner swarthy and buff? Besides that, most of Ruffalo's dialogue was mumbly and flat; I just didn't buy him at all.

I also disagree about Thor's characterization. I thought the first film captured him quite well.

But if they did, or do add Spider Man to The Avengers then you'll have people complain about that. They could just make a film version of The New Avengers- then you can have both Spider Man and Spider Woman, plus Wolverine. Of course the guy who wrote the article would just moan about The Hulk or Iron Man not being in it.

I like both Norton and Ruffalo's portrayal of Bruce Banner, but like ALL actors who play established characters not everyone will be satisfied. Christian Bale has failed to win me over as Batman.

The list is silly, it feels like the writer hasn't watched Marvel movies outside of the last 5 years. Every other movie on the list is Iron Man 3.
