Hey guys,

Last Night on the NBA on TNT, the Lakers w/o Kobe Bryant got swept in the 1st round for the 1st time in 46 years

They got swept by Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and the San Antonio Spurs

However, there was more to the story

Dwight Howard was ejected during the 3rd Quarter b/c of those 2 Technical Fouls

Former Laker and 5x NBA Champion Magic Johnson had this to say on his twitter:

Laker Nation: Dwight Howard that was a big No, No. Your teammates and the fans were counting on you.

LN: Dwight, I've been swept before but I never let my team down by getting kicked out of the game.

LN: Dwight with an already depleted team you couldn't afford to foul out or get kicked out. Having you on the floor was the only chance for the @Lakers.

Laker Nation: I'm sooooooooooo happy the season is over. With the talent on this team this could go down as one of the worst seasons in Lakers' history!

Charles Barkley also had this to say about the Lakers:

"I like @MettaWorldPeace but for him to think they can bring all those old geezers back & win...he's wrong" - Chuck on the @Lakers

and so, what were your thoughts on the Lakers being swept in the 1st Round and what does the future hold for Dwight Howard?

Will he stay with the Lakers, will he go back to Orlando or will he be traded to another team?

That's the Question!

Please share your thoughts on all of this

This is one of the biggest reasons why I have very little use for sports especially anything that is televised.

In my opinion, the Lakers should let him go, Dwight is not worth a max contract

No disrespect, but I like Tim Duncan, @ least he's got class unlike Kobe and Lebron

Shaq made a point last night that Dwight Howard needs to change his attitude

I also think that he should go back to Orlando, IMO

I like Tim Duncan as well, what I meant was that I can't stand it when a team wins a big game or a championship and most all the credit is given to the star player(s). The first time I recall this happening was with the Chicago Bulls. The announcers would say Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls or Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and the Bulls. What really sent me over-the-edge though was hearing Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. Today you rarely ever see a promo for a televised game without hearing something like Derek Jeter and the New York Yankees take on Miguel Cabrera and the Detroit Tigers. Why can't they just say New York Yankees Vs Detroit Tigers? FOX is the absolute worst for doing this and along with that annoying-as-hell Joe Buck is why I rarely watch any games on FOX. I can remember watching many games of Monday Night Baseball or MNF on ABC and not once did I ever hear things like Reggie Jackson and the New York Yankees or Roger Staubach and the Dallas Cowboys. Winning is a team effort and it's not fair to single out 1 or 2 players regardless of how popular they may be.

I hope the Cavs pick-up some players from the Lakers...maybe they liked Mike Brown. I may not be surprised that LeBron James will go to the Lakers.

PS-Has the Lakers ever missed a playoff year or was even in last place?

LOL@MrCleveland saying Lebron might go to the Lakers. Lebron isn't gonna go there because he's gonna stay with Miami and win some championships. Lebron might go back to Cleveland near the end of his career. I think Dwight is gonna stay with the Lakers. I do think he was a idiot for getting ejected in the last game because the Lakers needed him. He needs to stop being immature. I can't stand players that argue with refs. Arguing with them is a waste of time. I think Kobe is gonna retire after next season. That's what i saw that he said on ESPN.

I am a Magic fan and I would never want him back since it was a Dwightmare in Orlando changing his mind over a million times deciding if he wants to leave or not then he decided to opt in then changed his mind again! Screw Dwight!

Dwight is never coming back to Orlando since he refuses to re-sign with Orlando so it is a moot point
