Yeah that's true, Mrs. Boyland was mentioned in the Family Sketches a few times. and in the NBS episodes of Mama's Family, so I guess we are to assume Iola made off-screen visits to Mama.

It's hard to see grumpy Mama of the Family sketches being friends with Iola though.


But at Vint's and Naomi's wedding, there is a woman there in yellow who to me slightly resmebles Iola so I like to pretend that was her lol

I know there have been rumors that Iola made appearances in the NBC episodes but they were lost episodes that never made it to syndication.

Just like there are rumors that Eunice, Buzz and Sonya made appearances in the syndicated years.

Never heard any of those rumors :) I guess to get real technical, you could suppose all of them, including Ellen, made visits throughout both lives of the show ... but they didn't make it onscreen. :)

One of which has Eunice returning in a syndicated episode with some sort of bad news, I've heard further details that she has some sort of illness maybg cancer or something.

Another is said to have Buzz returning and wanting to move back into the house.

That would be awesome to see those. Maybe the Iola/NBC episode could make it onto the season two DVD??

I wanna believe this rumor, that there are 5 "long-lost" episodes that didn't make it to syndication, but according to imdb, there were only 130 episodes made. Also, that un-official guide book says 130 episodes.
