For close to a week, I have abstained from posting any messages anywhere on this site. That is because I seemed to be beating a dead horse and not getting any replies. Just like this page, the pages of "Gimme a Break!" and "Caroline in the City" seem to be dead zones. Another tactic that I seemed to have beaten into the ground has been writing about site traffic. However, now that I see that my most recent thread has forty views, I feel unable to resist writing about something that I recently learned happened forty years ago! Please bare with me! As most of you probably know, after the original cartoon known as the "Flintstones" ended, there have been dozens of new incarnations on the big screen, the small screen, books, magazines and just about every other types of media known to man. Well, over on Youtube, I recently watched a video of the introduction of an animated series called the "Flintstone Comedy Show". According to the uploader, this series came out in 1973. This is not to be confused with the Saturday Morning cartoon from the early eighties also called the "Flintstone Comedy Show". In this series, there was no character called the Cave Mouse! Some of you might remember a show from the mid to late seventies called "Fred Flintstone and Friends". Well a lot of the characters in that one are the same and a lot of the situations in that one are very similar to the characters and situations in the one that I watched. In closing, I would just like to point out how the number of years it has been since that series was introduced is the same as the number of views as my last thread on this page!
