Melissa Gilbert Weds Timothy Busfield

A good night for dancing under the stars.

Dancing with the Stars alum Melissa Gilbert tied the knot with former Thirtysomething star Timothy Busfield "in a private ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara on April 24," Gilbert's rep confirms to PEOPLE. The bride wore red.

Beloved Little House on the Prairie star, Gilbert, 48, and Busfield, 55, got engaged over the holidays. Both have been married twice before. She is the mother of two; he has three children.

The historic San Ysidro Ranch has been the scene of a number of Hollywood weddings celebrations. Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman had their rehearsal dinner there, while Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie stayed there on their wedding night.

She looks fabulous! I love the dress with her hair!

I agree - though I have to admit I'm still a bit sad that things didn't work out with Bruce Boxleitner. Hopefully her third marriage will be the charm!!

I had no idea they were even dating! I read her book Prairie Tale earlier this year. I hope for her sake that this marriage is a happier one than her first two.

I had NO idea that they were a couple! I didn't even know that she was divorced from Bruce Boxleitner! :eek: :lol: :eek:

She and Bruce Boxleitner divorced in 2011 after 16 years of marriage. She and Timothy Busfield announced their engagement over the holidays, and wed last week.

Why do I think that she rushed into marriage no.3?
I think she is afraid of being alone.

Well, she rushed into marriage the first time, with Bo Brinkman. They tied the knot a mere six weeks after their first meeting. (She's admitted that she was on the rebound from Rob Lowe.)

Melissa and Bruce Boxleitner had a pretty stormy courtship, too, from what I recall reading in the magazines at the time and from her own book, Prairie Tale. Still, they were married for quite a few years and seemed happy together when I saw them both in person at the Tombstone (Arizona) Film Festival & Little House cast reunion in the summer of 2005.

Having said that, I hope that for both their sakes, that the third time is the charm for both her and Timothy.
