In the episode it's beginning to look alot like urkel the actress who played laura as a nerd do you think she did a awful job as a female urkel, the audience in the background seemed quiet with her in that scene they were rarely laughing, i have a hard time watching her as a nerd in that scene very awkward lol

I thought she was good. Carl was good when he transformed into a nerd and Eddie did well when he turned into Urkel to go on a game show as well.

Yeah, while I think Jaleel White was the only one in that cast, who could have played a nerd for nine years, Kelly Shanygne Williams and Reginald VelJohnson both did a good job as temporary nerds. I've never seen the entire epsiode, where Eddy turns himself into a nerd, so I can't say about Darius McGrary.

I've missed a lot from seasons 8 and 9, and I believe this episode is from season 8, if memory serves me correctly. I actually have a clip from it on a tape, but that's just one minute or so. I might watch the entire episode one day though.

People use to think jaleel white was just like his fictional character steve urkel back in the 90's, i think the episode where laura turns nerd and steve turns normal was just to show people that everything you see on TV is not the truth.

You're not missing much with season 8. That entire season was awful. Every ep was either about Urkels inventions or a character Jaleel played.

I know fans differ on this, but I watched "Family Matters" all the way from 1989 through 1998 for the entire run and I like it all. But that's okay if others don't.:) :cool:

MacLeaper i agree its just a show the producers had no choice but to keep jaleel white on the show, i am sure people hated seasons 8 and 9 back in 1997-1998, but now in 2013 since the show has been off TV for 15 years now people would find seasons 8 and 9 more entertaining then any show thats out on TV at this current time.
