When watching the "My Ever Faithful Friend" episode, I noticed the idea that most kids thought Larue was unattractive. But I always thought of Larue as a good looking gal. Did you or your friends think so?

Larue (Lynette Winter) wasn't exactly "Gidget" in looks and manner, but I think she was a good choice as her friend. At the same time, I think a teenage guy could have found some real pluses in her as his girl friend.

I didn't think she was so bad. Hey, did you know she had a look-alike on "Even Stevens" over a decade ago?

Larue wasn't perky cute like Gidget, but she was still nice looking. And some of those outfits she wore to the beach were not very flattering, so they didn't exactly compliment her looks.

I dunno...She looked pretty good after Gidget gave her a makeover...Remember that ep? In fact, Larue started looking a lot better towards the end of the season.....AND she also had some boyfriends too, because she was coupled up with somebody when they went out somewhere..

The reason she looked so frumpy at the beach was because she coudn't tolerate too much direct sunlight...

I think Gidget had such the fun personality and Larue did not and she really didn't have the greatest self esteem that hurt the way boys looked at her. Personally I don't think she was unattractive at all.

They showed a marathon over Memorial Day weekend and one of the shows had Gidget and Larue dressed as Goths in a rock band complete with pancake makeup and black wigs with bangs and black clothing. It was as if the show was bizarrely propelled forward into the late 1990s. As usual though, Larue was being cast aside because the other members of the band didn't like the way she played her guitar. Poor Larue (Lynette Winter), she must have needed a shrink after the series ended.
