View Full Version : [UPDATED] TV TATTLE CALLS ITS QUITS AFTER 13 YEARS
http://jimromenesko.com/2013/04/18/tv-tattle-calls-its-quits-after-13-years/
TV Tattle (http://www.tvtattle.com/) has folded after 13 years. Founder Norman Weiss posted a three-sentence farewell this morning: “TV Tattle is calling it quits. This is the end of the line. Thanks for reading.”
TV writers are sorry to see the site go (https://twitter.com/search?q=tv%20tattle&src=typd): “Was always a good collection of TV writing, even if Twitter made it less essential,” tweets Alan Sepinwall. “Who else is gonna comb hundreds of TV Blogs and distill it down for me?” asks Martin Gero. “I checked TVTattle.com at least once a day for a decade or more. I’ll miss it a lot!” writes Mo Ryan.
Zoneboy 04-18-2013, 11:53 PM Never heard of this site until now but I clicked the link and wasn't impressed. From what I can tell all they do is post headlines and links to the respective sites where the articles were originally published. Sheer waste of time as far as I'm concerned.
Ant-Lox 04-19-2013, 12:01 PM I used it for a single day a while back, searching through it researching old sitcoms. It was a cool site, for what it was.

Mario500 04-20-2013, 07:35 AM Here is a link to a news article from the Hollywood Reporter about the end of TV Tattle:

My comments about the news were posted in the comments section below the article.

So did I. I wonder where we can go for TV news links now?

I just went to the yahoo tv news site and it doesn't seem too bad. Nothing will ever be able to replace tv tattle though. They kept it simple.

They did. I went there daily too. A lot of the headlines were funny. Like SO, TV Tattle was simple, and sort of a throwback, rather than relying on social media for news.

Thanks Justin.:) I've been going to TV Tattle as long as I can remember. There was another website like it that I used to go to but it folded years ago. I don't even remember it's name now. I liked TV Tattle because it was so simple. Even if I missed going there once in awhile, I knew that the links would still be there.
Crap. I wish there were more insider places online that would leak TV info before it's officially announced. The best would be the Fall/Midseason cancellations. I hate waiting until May.

TV Tattle is dead, but Talk of the Tube (https://twitter.com/talkofthetube) lives!
