I notice that my second to last post on this page has twenty-four views and zero replies. I would like to commemorate this event by writing about something that I just watched a bunch of videos in regards to on Youtube. The thing that I watched videos about is the very controversial book known as "Heather Has Two Mommies". Is anyone here familiar with this book? I thought it told a very good story. In any event, the way that the number twenty-four comes in is that the book was published in 1989 which was twenty-four years ago. For those of you who have not figured this out, the book is about a little girl being raised by two lesbians. In some ways, the controversial issues presented in this book are quite similar to some of the controversial issues that took place in "Gimme a Break!". For those of you who remember the second season episode "The Chief's Gay Evening", homosexuality was the main theme of the story. Throughout the show's run, it dealt with such things as death, divorce and birth control. Pointing all of this out to you guys is just one more attempt to stimulate some conversation about this fine series!
