Mystery solved on location of Cleaver's residence. In Season 6, episode 16, "Wally Buys a Car" he drives through a downtown. In the top picture, you can see the famous Elmiro Theater on the right and the high rise called the Santa Monica Clock Tower Building on the left. The second picture is a clearer view taken on Third Street in Santa Monica, California during 1950s. The bottom picture is the same Third Street at the Santa Monica Promenade....all near Los Angeles! True but there were references of cities in California in several shows like hoping to Oceanside, Fallbrook, Riverside and Lumpy saying "I'll move up to Porterville and live with my grandmother"...Porterville is north of Los Angeles. Also a mention of Bellport which was a small town near Newport Beach (Southwest so LA).

California is probably the best "solution" IMO if you consider Mayfield to be located next to a major waterway next to an Ocean (as in Season 6: 'Summer in Alaska), the reference of Fallbrook, Porterville, Bellport (near Newport Beach), Riverside....all in California.

Also in season 6, Aunt Martha arrives and praises the Cleaver house and said "this place looks so much like an east coast house so far west."

I pretend that Mayfield is in Oregon, never been there, but it looks like a neat place.

There were a couple scenes at the local drug store but could not read the street sign.:crazy:

All this proves is that the rear-projection footage used for this scene happens to have been filmed in Santa Monica.
