When DS first started the character arnold spoke what ever he was thinking with a attitude plus he was a trouble maker in the early seasons, in the later seasons 4-8 he became to lame nice of a character who was always complaining or in a bad angry envy mood, which Arnold did you like better the sassy or nice arnold ?

The funny thing is that as Arnold became decidedly bitter and morose as soon as he hit puberty, Willis was the opposite at the same time. He didn't seem to challenge Mr. Drummond on anything like he used to, and you could sense that he wanted to make sure Arnold never forgot where they came from was lost.

I started a thread years back pointing out the same changes in Arnold from season 5 and onward, he just seemed too bitter and angry I guess maybe Gary Coleman at that time just had to accept that he would always be playing "cute little" Arnold Jackson as long as the series was still profitable.

But going back to the original topic, I preferred Arnold from seasons 1-4, he had attitude but in a good way and he wasn't demeanig to Willis as later seasons showed.
