Do you think arnold and dudley were too young to be put into adult storylines like beeing peer pressured to smoke in the 7th grade i would think fans of DS would lose interest in arnold for smoking in the episode where there's smoke.

No because you would be surprised how many kids try stuff like that a young age i know that was the 80s but seems like every generation kids are learning or trying stuff at a younger age also it was a 80s sitcoms those shows always had episodes where there trying to teach the audience something like smoking or drinking or this or that is bad

I can understand dudley drinking beer or smoking or even having sex at 12 years old because his father did not care what he did dudley got away with almost everything his father was the wimpy nice guy, but arnold was suppose to be some kind of a saint on DS all he had to do was say dudley my father would kill me if he caught me smoking, its funny arnold did anything dudley was doing it was like dudley was taking advantage of arnold for fun.

My father told me he started smoking around 10 so no it's not too young. A lot of kids were smoking when I was in Junior High. It was all off campus but they smoked.

I'm I the only one who seemed to think that just about everybody acted rather blase over the news of Dudley's dad having to have one of his lungs removed? I also find it odd that he's smoking habit to the best of my knowledge or recollection, wasn't brought up until conveniently, this episode. Also, was this subject ever brought up again!? I do find it extremely morbid that Le Tari, the actor who portrayed Dudley's dad passed away (at the age of 40 from a heart attack) a year after DS signed off for good.
