Do you think george was a little too harsh on florence most of the time if he did not like her he should have just fired her and hired another housekeeper who is not going to bash talk him back.

I always just figured that the George character WANTED Florence around just because he enjoyed the challenge of all the little "mind games" she provided.If this is true,he wouldn't WANNA fire Florence becasue it might be equivalent of "giving up" which,of course,would go hard against the grain of his natural argumenative nature.Just a thought.

Plus george would be hiring a new maid to work with him everyday no other house maid lady could take his abuse but lonely florence lol
