I don't think I'd call Tony Micelli a wimp- Samantha has her moments of rebellion as a teenager- sure; but generally she and Tony get along just fine as daughter and father.

That is true- Tony Danza was a Golden Gloves boxer- and Tony Micelli was a former baseball player. He was plenty macho- but he also defied the stereotype and showed that he was also adept at cooking and cleaning and intellectual pursuits- like college and further education.
In any case, I love "Who's The Boss?" so I don't have any issues on this with the show. I'd just like to see Seasons 2-8 get released to DVD, along with spinoff shows like "Charmed Lives" and "Living Dolls".
