As most people reading this thread know, I have, long ago run of of things to write the directly pertain to this show. Writing about site traffic is simply a way of killing some time and hoping that I can stimulate some conversation. I just posted a thread on the "Caroline in the City" page explaining all of this to my buddies there! In any event, I noticed that my most recent post on this page has forty-nine views and zero replies. I would like to commemorate this reality by mentioning a "Woody Woodpecker" cartoon that I saw in syndication and that was made in 1949. This being that case, this particular episode was made twenty years before I was born! As a lot of you probably know, "Woody Woodpecker" cartoons were very popular in syndication during the seventies. Is anyone here especially fond of this particular cartoon. As a child, I thought he was great! Well, I remember in the mid-seventies, seeing a lot of TV commercials for something call "Woody Putty". From what I could see, the only difference between this product and "Silly Putty" it that there had a picture of "Woody Woodpecker" on the card that you peel the egg off of! The same deal with "Star Trek" putty that my aunt bought for me in 1980. In any event, the summer after I first started seeing the ads for "Woody Putty" a new product came out by the same company. It was called "Woody Bubbles". This was a plastic device shaped like "Woody Woodpecker". that came with a jar of bubble solution that you used to blow bubbles. At the end of the ad, we saw a still life of "Woody Bubbles" and "Woody Putty" which the narrator described as being two great toys that were sold separately (of course)! Too Bad that these products were long out of production by the time that Paul and Jamie's daughter Mabel was born! I am sure that she would have had loads of fun with them!
