A&E Orders Second Season of "Bates Motel"

A&E has ordered a second season of freshman drama "Bates Motel", the network announced Monday.

The show, which stars Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga and is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, drew 4.5 million viewers for its March 18 premiere, and was the most-watched original drama debut among viewers 18 to 49 and 25 to 54 in the network's history.

The 10-episode sophomore season will begin pre-production later this year and will premiere in 2014.

I just watched three episodes. Love this show; so much intrigue and secrets. Nobody is who they say they are. It's crazy, but fun. Glad to hear it's going for another round, although 10 episodes isn't much. It's better than none at all, I suppose.

That's good to hear. You just never know how long these new shows will last and I really like this one.
