Was recently re-watching S3 and noticed two different Ford car endings/closings. One has a 1964 Ford parked with just the front end of the car showing as the closing credits roll.

The other has a 1964 Ford driving down the street as the credits close. I tell you this show has more opening and even closings than any other sitcom I've seen.

I wish they had included these Ford closings on all the episodes.

During the NBC years, the closing credits almost always showed the current year's Ford products in the background, usually running on an open highway. This was not unique to "Hazel," since Chevrolet used the same technique during its sponsorship of "My Three Sons."

However, when the shows went into syndication, the sponsor-related material was deleted. As you may have noticed on "Hazel," the opening theme song always fades out just before the announcer would have said "'Hazel' ... brought to you by -- FORD and your Ford Dealer!" Also, the closing credits have a nondescript background. It would look funny to run the original credits when the Ford dealer is selling Focuses, Fiestas and Tauruses instead of Falcons, Galaxies and Thunderbirds--but it would be cool to watch, I must confess!

Agree! But I just wonder why the Tony Lema episode still has the great Ford closing.

I've seen the Chevy's driving during the old My Three Sons end credits and love that too.

Chevy also sponsored Bewitched but the original closings for this show had cartoon a Darrin and Samantha riding on the Chevy Bow Tie logo on the bottom left corner of the screen, which was great too.

True, true, true. Maybe they missed that one before its Antenna TV run. (I have since seen one 1964 closing showing a powder-blue Galaxie 500/XL 2-door hardtop with a white vinyl top as it cruises along what appears to be a Los Angeles street (I don't think they had palm trees in Hydsberg, New York.)

As for "Bewitched," I recall seeing one episode on WGN America where the Darrin-and-Sam Chevrolet logo was present, but the name "CHEVROLET" was blacked out.
