* Treat others with respect.
* All that is gold does not glisten.
* Be true to yourself.
* Dont worry about what other people think of you so much.
* Be careful who you tell secrets to.
* If you talk badly about someone to someone else, it could get back to that person.
* Dont settle on your very first decision when apartment hunting for the first time. Take some time to think these choices over.
* Study hard for Regents Exams.
* Always knock before entering your parents bedroom, they may be creating your next sibling. lol
* Cherish the time you have with your parents and other family members your close to.
* Dont rush through life. Take some time to enjoy things.
* Stick up for yourself more often.
* Be thankful for what you have, dont dwell so much on what you dont have.
* Be careful when playing on the playground, you may break your arm. (Happened to me when I was 6).
IM SHURE THERE ARE MORE, BUT I THINK THESE ARE IMPORTANT ONES I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR GROWING UP.

One that was drilled into my head as a child was to always tell the truth. I tended to lie a lot as a child and it always came back to bite me in the butt. I can't tell you how often I got punished or got a butt whopping for lying. Now that I'm an adult I am a very honest person. I didn't realize how important telling the truth really is until I grew up and now I understand why I got into so much trouble as a child. ;)

Another one that I was taught was to never cheat. I cheated on a test ONCE and got into SO much trouble that I NEVER cheated again! Cheating is wrong! and I'm just not talking about cheating on tests or homework in school, I'm also talking about cheating a friend or cheating on your spouse or significant other. It's wrong!!! :mad:
