Exclusive: "Go On’s" Laura Benanti Joins "Royal Pains" as Hank's New Rival

It looks like "Royal Pains'" Dr. Hank (Mark Feuerstein) is going to have to step up his game!

"Go On" star Laura Benanti is joining the USA medical series in a recurring role, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.



Benanti will play Shelby Shackelford, the dynamic new Senior VP of Acquisitions at Symphony Health Systems, a health care company trying to buy Hamptons Heritage Hospital.

An out-of-towner, Shelby comes to the Hamptons and brings an unexpected vision for the hospital — one that may mean new competition for HankMed.



The new season of "Royal Pains" premieres on Wednesday, June 12 at 9/8c on USA.
