Passenger 57 is no longer Inmate #43355-018 -- TMZ has learned Wesley Snipes has been released from prison.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons tells TMZ ... Snipes was released on April 2 and transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, which will oversee his home confinement.

Home confinement (aka house arrest) will end July 19.

Snipes checked into McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania back in December 2010 after he was convicted for failing to file federal income tax returns.

Let this be a reminder ... you've got 10 days left, people!!!

Glad to see he's out. Sylvester Stallone said he wants him to be in the next Expendables movie. Have to wait and see if that happens and i hope it does. Sylvester also said he wants Mel Gibson to direct the next Expendables. What you think about this JamesG?

I can go for another Expendables...

I recently watched some of Snipes' older movies: New Jack City, Sugar Hill and Money Train.

I like New Jack City and White Men Can't Jump. I got both of those and those are my favorites of his. I also like Jungle Fever, Passenger 57, Brooklyn's Finest. I like the scene in Jungle Fever when he has sex with Annabella Sciorra on a desk at their job LOL. I watch that scene sometimes on Youtube. I was wondering how they could have sex on a desk because i know it has to be uncomfortable LOL. When they got done having sex, he was sleep laying on her on the desk LOL. There's no way i would've been able to sleep like that and i know Annabella's back was hurting. JamesG, i wanted to know your opinion about Sylvester wanting Mel Gibson to direct the next Expendables.

That's not happening since he wants Patrick Hughes to direct.

What the Hell Happened to Wesley Snipes? (http://lebeauleblog.com/2012/08/04/what-the-hell-happened-to-wesley-snipes/)

At the top of his career, Wesley Snipes was an A-list action star who could also cross-over into comedy and drama as he saw fit. Few actors can claim the kind of cross-genre success Snipes enjoyed. But all that ended amid very public legal entanglements that ultimately landed Snipes in jail with a three year sentence for failing to file tax returns.

If you take nothing else away from this article, remember this: No matter what anyone else tells you, you still need to file your taxes.
