I went to high school with her so I am not sure how much of a national story this was in 2011. I know they did a segment on Nancy Grace about her and on the show Disapeared.

The case is weird because it seemed like just as it was becoming a big story her family kind of backed away from the attention. Either way its been two years since she went missing. There isn't a whole lot of "new" information on the case or anything.

The websleuths thread is pretty good, but I wish there was more new info out there.

Oh wow. That is something. I recorded the Disappeared episode, but don't really remember much about it, other than that the boyfriend seemed pretty guilty. She was pregnant at the time, so sadly there are 2 missing people.

I can sort of understand how the family wouldn't want media attention though. Not so much for their missing daughter, but perhaps they themselves are shy, quiet and uncomfortable being on camera all the time.

Yeah, the boyfriend seemed controling and like a real creep. They think that she might be hiding, but it's still bizare.

I don't know, even if they were shy I would think they would get over it if it helped them find Bethany.
