This is a huge loss. I always enjoyed reading what he had to say—not only his movie critiques, but his views on politics, religion, health, and life. Even his tweets were something to look forward to.

He will be missed.

Very sad. He was one of the best movie reviewers of all time. I always respected his opinions. Now both Siskel and Ebert are gone. R.i.P. Roger. :(

:rip: Roger Ebert. He handled his illness with such grace and courage and never lost his love of the movies.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Roger Ebert was intelligent and articulate and we don't have enough people like that anymore.

RIP, Mr. Ebert.:(

I am saddened to hear he passed. I'm really going to miss him. I liked him on many levels. There will never be a critic as classy, kind and even in his critiques. And of course I admired him for the way he dealt with his cancer. I hope he's at peace now.

He was a great critic and always very insightful. He put up a brave front during his long illness and I don't know if this is eerie coincidence or not but literally just last night I was thinking about him and wondering about his health. The last time I had heard anything about him, they had found a way for him to speak. I think I saw that story on TV. Very moving.
