This just doesn't make any sense! I ordered the 2-DVD set of LTB on amazon, the set that comes from Platinum Disk---the set that claims to have "enhanced audio". Ha! That's a laugh! About the best thing I can say for the set is that it was packaged very nicely. But, the quality of the shows themselves is actually WORSE on the DVDs that on the online uploads of the same episodes! Now, how is that possible?!

The picture is bad and has several fad spots. And, as for the audio specifically, it's muffled! How the heck can if claim to be enhanced?! It's actually de-hanced! Sheesh!

Here's the link to the set I bought:
http://www.amazon.com/Love-That-Bob-Robert-Cummings/dp/B0009IWGOG/ref=sr_1_3?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1365078536&sr=1-3&keywords=love+that+bob

With quality like that coming out, no-wonder people are resorting to cheap and shady downloads, online. Sad, because the more we make our own DVDs that way, the less-likely the show will get an official release and restoration, which it so truly needs!

Platinum releases public domain prints so what they have to work with isn't going to look or sound good. I have a couple sets from them (Ozzie and Harriet, Red Skelton, Andy) and most of them aren't too good at all.

I have that same set from Platinum Disk. And they do run a warning at the beginning of the disk that they're working with old masters and there will be some quality issues with the playback. So yeah the picture and sound quality aren't the greatest but at least they're honest about it.

I know and I wouldn't mind, except that the quality is even less than what I already knew it to be. So, I am just mad about that part---I mean, it seems that if the com[any put forward any real effort at all, they could have improved the show.

I take back what I said. Actually, after watching more episodes of the set, I've come to realize something: the episodes that are atrocious quality also happen to be different from the episodes that are online.

I just watched a couple of the same episodes as those that are online, and the quality matches those that are online. So, I guess it's just a matter of how badly one particular episodes has aged over another. Clearly, little to no effort was put into restoring them (which is one reason why I got mad at the company for saying the episodes have "enhanced audio" because it doesn't seem like something to brag about, at this point).

But, all-in-all, considering what I have just come to realize, the two DVD set is probably the best we can get. I just hope that the whole series is released soon. I remember back when I thought that shows like HERE'S LUCY would never see the light of day again, yet the entire show has been released. So, maybe we'll get LTB before long...
