From Digital Digest (http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2013/03/digital-digest-possibilities-for-new.html):

In the early 1970s, Dick Van Dyke returned to CBS in a new sitcom, The New Dick Van Dyke Show. The series starred Van Dyke as Dick Preston, a local TV talk show host in Arizona (and the series was actually filmed there as well). It ended up lasting three seasons, and has been occasionally shown in syndication since then. Now, there seems to be some hope (but nothing definite) on the DVD front for the series. A fan asked about the series on the Warner Archive Facebook page. The response from the studio was a bit positive:

"There are master-quality and clearance issues that need to be resolved, but the outlook is positive and a release likely at some point."

Of course, this doesn't mean that it will definitely show up, but for anybody who is curious, responses similar to this were given not too long ago regarding Alice and Eight is Enough, both of which were released (and not very much later after that).

Hooray!!! Thanks for passing this along. I loved this show, it holds a special place in my childhood memories (and I also think it has many funny episodes), and it's the one show not on DVD that I want to see released to DVD more than any other.

Of course it should be on DVD, it's his initials. If anyone should be on DVD, it's DVD.
