I'm a light-skinned African American, yet both of my parents are dark-skinned. I think I take after my papa on my Dad's side because he's light-skinned.

This thread is ********.

Michael's skin color looked like he could come from Florida and James.

If any TV character didn't look like she belonged to her parents it was Denise Huxtable. Claire and Cliff were both medium-dark complexioned and Denise looked mixed. She barely looked black at all. She looked like she didn't belong to that family.

Michael Evans looked fine. And he did look like he could belong to Florida and James.

Same thing could be said about Sondra.

It's a TELEVISION SHOW. By giving African Americans of various skin tones an opportunity to be on television, the producers were showing that black people come in various shades, colors and flavas. . .

Exactly. That is why this thread doesn't make any sense.

People of African-American descent have many different skin tones.I'm the lightest of my brothers, and my mother is light-skinned, of her siblings, the first three were light, 4th brown, 5th light, 6th brown, out of light brown parents. Many different shades.

Anyways, it don’t matter how lighter or darker you are than your parents, that don’t mean nothing wrong with you. I guess I was handpicked by my mom because I’m a darker skin tone then her.

The hell?

I don't understand why the OP is making such a fuss about Michael's skin tone. Michael absolutely looks like he could come from a mixture of both James (medium tone) and Florida (dark tone.) The only kid on TV who doesn't match her parents is "Mary" from The Conners. "Mary" is medium-dark skinned and she looks totally black but her father "D.J. Conner" is white while her mom is medium-dark skinned black. Anyway, that particular kid does not look like she comes from a white dad. But "Michael Evans" definitely looks like he could come from "James" and "Florida."
I think TVFactFan is right about the OP having mental issues.

I’m pretty sure that OP’s the same guy who made a thread talking about One Day At A Time having a crossover with The Beverly Hillbillies.

I always thought J.J. was too skinny and scrawny to have possibly inherited either James's or Florida's bone structure- regardless of him sharing their tone. And Thelma seemed WAY too beautiful to have been theirs! Michael seemed the most likely to have been their kid (and we only met ONE of the kids' four grandparents so we have no idea how light or dark the other three grandparents may have been- and there may have even been a European branch to their family tree).

The sad thing is, the OP actually was special. After checking out some of his posts, I just figured that he liked to get on people’s nerves, especially since he never spoke up for himself or explained why he was doing what he did, but it makes perfect sense now.

I dont think shows think that deeply into the skin tone or looks when casting for black shows because I see it on other shows too. Like you would never believe that MAMA on Thats my mama was the mother of Clifton and Tracy. Same thing with James and Florida when it comes to Thelma, lol

In all honesty, he did admit he shouldn't have started this thread and he started this thread 9 years ago. It be weird to ban someone for a thread he started 9 years ago. He probably doesn't even remember this thread

And on the Cosby show, do Denise or Sandra really look like they could come from Cliff and Clair?

I always used to joke that Clair cheated on Cliff with a white man, which explains Denise and Sondra’s skin tone

Now that would make total sense. Clair must have been having an affair for a few years with the white garbage man. Then she got tired of him and started giving birth to her husband's children, Theo, Vanessa and Rudy. Those three look like they come from Cliff/Clair. Sandra and Denise... hell no! Their daddy is the white garbage man!

Russell on the Cosby Show was light skinned. Sondra and Denise got their light skin from him. :)
