Do you think the Brady Bunch would have been a awkward and creepy sitcom if the maid was a man ?

Yes, because Alice is my fav, so I don't even want to imagine it!

Mike would be jealous of the other male maid

It might have made for some interesting story lines. For example Marcia, Jan, And Cindy would have to get used to not one but two new men in their lives. That may have been a difficult adjustment for them. They may not have been comfortable having a man do their laundry or clean their room.

i think mike would not trust a male maid in his home because he would be suspicious of him trying to flirt with his wife and daughters behind his back it could have made some good episodes to the brady bunch.

Well the ONLY reason I wouldn't like it is b/c I like Alice so much, so I wouldn't want to see anyone be the maid other than HER, no other man OR woman.

Other than that, it should make no difference the sex of the person, and all these ppl saying it would be CREEPY, needs to examine their own hatred bigotry and intolerance.

How is it "creepy"? By what standard?

It's like asking what if the Brady's had a BLACK maid and someone saying it would be creepy.

Why? the boys didn't have a problem with Alice doing THEIR laundry.

Perhaps the Bradys were not closed minded and prejudice, I want to hope not.

Mike and Carol DID try to instill in the children that a doctor is a DOCTOR reguardless of their gender, so I would hope they'd instill the same thing about a maid. That's the only intelligent, tolerant way to look at it.

I think carol and mike needed to hire a male maid they could hire have both maids working for them, i think alice needed a male housekeeper associate she could talk to other then the brady family.

Maybe Sam becoming the other maid or butler woudl have made for a good story line :)
