TVFactFan 03-31-2013, 05:29 PM NOTHING:lol:

*ROGER* 03-31-2013, 06:15 PM When I hear Tony, his leadership style seems like the kind that some players would embrace but others would completely shut out. I wonder if that has something to do with the Cowboys having so many inconsistencies in a very talented offense? Or could Tony's liabilities be Jason Garrett and the basic fundementals of football, like runnin the damn ball occasionally.
Hard to give a guy all that money that seems to fall apart in big moments, not all of them but the ones that he does will always get highlighted.

I can't believe he got a contract that HUGE for his age.
Mr. Television 03-31-2013, 08:09 PM Not surprised. It's going to be more of the same. I have a bad feeling about this year. I'm still not sure how they ended up 8-8 last year. They only played 2 or 3 good games.

And I still think Flacco is better Romo

He's more clutch, that's for sure.

And more accurate:lol:
Dianne3 04-02-2013, 03:53 PM I was waiting this thread and was wondering where you TVFactFan were, since you didn't post this right away.
I also was shocked. Maybe I wouldn't be if it weren't for 6 years. I could see it if it were only for a couple of more years, since who else has Dallas got at QB? Although this past week, a few teams have been playing musical quarterbacks.
Romo is almost 33 right? That would mean this contract would take him to age 39. Even the best qb's slow down by age 39.

He will be 33 this year . Even though they don't have anyone at QB they could have signed him to a 3 year deal and drafted a QB in 3 weeks.
Dianne3 04-03-2013, 03:12 PM It's Jerry Jones that is the real idiot.
You can't blame the player for accepting the contract.

I know, it's the stupid owner but I'm just annoyed that Romo is being rewarded for failure
Mr. Television 04-03-2013, 07:04 PM I'm convinced this team will never win anything as long as Jerry is in charge. He's clueless.

I agree, a true idiot
isiahthomas 04-20-2013, 03:19 PM LOL@Tony Romo getting a lot of money for his new contract hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I was surprised Dallas resigned him. Donovan Mcnabb said he can't believe Tony got resigned when he's won one playoff game LOL.

And his one playoff win was over McNabb.
isiahthomas 04-20-2013, 03:24 PM Seriously?
Mr. Television 04-20-2013, 03:28 PM Seriously?
Yes. His one playoff win was over the Eagles.

Well when the owner is in love with him, nothing fans can do but root for another team
biffbronson 04-21-2013, 12:31 AM I'm not a Cowboys fan but certainly not a hater either, so I think I can be impartial. It seems to have become very apparent that Jerry Jones is his own worst enemy -- shouldn't it be obvious to him that a major rebuild, beginning ASAP, is the only way Dallas will get back to Super Bowls (his own stated quest)?
You HAVE to let veterans go if they've demonstrated over and over that they're not able to produce playoff wins for the team -- otherwise it's gonna be a loooong wait for the next NFC Championship game to involve Dallas.

Romo hasn't done sh*t in 7 years and gets a 6 year extension. WOW

These are dark days. Back when we were 1-15, I could see us getting better. All this team has proven is that they are a mediocre 8-8. That's about where they've been since the 13-3 team. I don't think getting rid of Rob Ryan is going to make much of a difference. That's their big move this off season, especially since the offense was just as bad. the offense never showed up for games until after half time. That's on Romo and Jason Garrett.
Dianne3 04-22-2013, 04:38 PM Could this contract extension also be an ego thing for Jerry Jones?
So he can say that one of the NFL's highest paid players in history is on his team.

I expect the Cowboys to be in the playoffs

I hope you're right. It would also be nice to see them go deep in the playoffs. It has been so long.
