This really gets on my nerves. EVERY rich person I know acts like they have NO MONEY and almost gets offended if you even imply they have money.
It's funny my ex-boss lived in a huge house, and we all knew they were loaded and she would say stuff like, "Phew, I'd prolly FAINT if I saw 10 thousand dollars!" Then she'd turn around and say, "I had to clean my own kitchen today b/c our cleaning lady didn't show up!" I'm like, POOR THING!
Why can't ppl just say, "Yeah I have MONEY!"?

"Rich" is a relative term. Compared to a homeless person with only the clothes on their back and their shopping cart, I am rich. Put me next to Donald Trump, I look poor.
Some people also live beyond their means and/or can put on a good show. A friend of a friend of mine lives in a beautiful gated community, drives a late model SUV, and her children attend private school.
They've also declared bankruptcy in the past and will most likely again within the year; had a home foreclosed on, have no medical insurance, have to check their bank accounts before they go to the grocery story, and haven't saved one dime for their 2 kids education.
IMO, they are poor.

During my trips to Brazil, I've seen families of 12 or more living in a house only 1/3 the size of mine who are a  H:censored:LL  of a lot richer than Bill Gates, Donald Trump or any Arab Oil Shiek. Yes, they lack in MATERIAL Goods, but they are richer in Spirit than anyone who has a Seven-Digit or More Figure in their pocketbooks.
The Holy Bible WARNS us about being obsessed with wealth.
"Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we have brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil, for which some have strayed and from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" - 1 Timothy Vs 1-6
