Why come their was no Token black man or woman as part of the group in this show ?

Well, not only on this show.

To me looks like there is some sort of racial segregation (pardon the term, but is just to explain better) in the sit-coms.

In the classic sit-coms I've seen, I can only remeber a black friend of Dan in 'Roseanne', and the black collague of Al in 'Married with children'. But I don't remeber any other black person (in 'Mad About you', 'Frasier', 'Cheers', 'Seinfeld', 'The Nanny', 'Home Improvement'... even in modern sit-coms like 'Big Bang Theory', 'According to Jim', 'How i Met Your Mother', 'Melissa & Joey').

Same way, I don't remember white people in 'Family Matters', 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' and so on.

Maybe should start a thread about this curious thing in General Sitcoms Questions and Discussion!

Their were only one white friend in Family matters that was in a few episodes he was a funny guy his name was rodney he was friends with eddie Winslow in the first 2 or 3 seasons,every show in the 90's had to have atleast one black person as a sidekick in a TV Sitcom its not really happening nowadays in the year 2013 lol

they did bring on that one woman (played by Aisha Tyler) that both Ross and Joey were interested in (who ended up dating Joey), for a time.

Actually, she was introduced to the FRIENDS as she was Joey's girlfriend, then moved onto Ross, and finally ended up back in the arms of her original boyfriend who like Joey, and Ross; were WHITE. She was the black female version of Tiger Woods. . . ..

I wasn't sure off-hand if she first was with Ross or Joey. :lol:
