While Fraser lived in "Downtown" Seattle, where did Niles and Maris live? From what I gather, it took 2 ferries to get from Niles's house to Fraser. Could it it be Whitby Island? There was a landslide there today, so that got me thinking ( A very dangerous thing).

LOL I heard about that landslide on the news today and immediately Frasier popped into my head. I always simply assumed that Niles & Maris' mansion was generically isolated outside of town on it's own estate whereas Frasier's apartment complex is definitely "in town".

That landslide was awful! OMG!!! Whidbey Island is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to live there but I feel so bad for those people. I'm glad no one was hurt!
Anyway, Frasier lived in the Elliot Bay Towers which is in the Queen Anne area of Seattle, by the Space Needle. I don't recall Niles ever taking two ferries to get from his mansion to Frasier's house. Just last night "A Midwinternight's Dream" was on and in it, Frasier and Martin drive to the mansion from the Elliot Bay Towers. Martin mentions going down Roosevelt, which tells me that perhaps they lived near the University District since there really is a street called Roosevelt. That street is located near the University of Washington.
Hmm... I think I'm thinking too much as well, but it's fun to try and figure out where this stuff is!;) Great topic! Thanks for sharing!
