I totally agree. Nipsey Russell was one of the best Pyramid celebrities. The "Poet Laureate of Television" made the shows he appeared on even more fun with his poems and the way he played the game so well.
Also off the list were Soupy Sales, Henry Polic II, Anita Gillette and Lynn Redgrave. Bill Cullen, who hosted "The $25,000 Pyramid" in the 70s was also an outstanding celebrity player. Whoever compiled this list probably didn't watch a lot of Pyramid. It's one of the best celebrity-civilian game shows of all-time and many celebrities got a chance to be on the show to help contestants win lots of money.

yeah I do so agree with you on that but I think that you guys should've added Joanne Worley to the mix as well.
also, I'm quite oddly surprised that Shelley Smith got the top spot as the best celebrity played instead of Betty White, i mean no offense to Shelley but Betty White will always be the queen of Game Show no matter what format she's on.

When i see these old shows I am amazed at how many young stars who appeared. Judy Norton of the Waltons, Laurie Henler of Gimme a Break and probably a few others who were I am sure all under the age of 30 maybe even age 25. They were just as bright as the older star they shared the stage with.
