I heard a rumour a little while back that John Ritter was being considered to take over Head of the Class after Howard Hesseman left. Has anyone heard about this? I think he would have been a good fit for that show and a lot better than Billy Connolly, who stunk up the place.

John Ritter was such a good actor, but unfortunately, several of his post Three's Company's sitcoms flopped, and it wasn't until 8 Simple Rules that he found success in that again. Head of the Class could have changed that for him.
