Willona calling Michael Gramps and never saying why even though we know why. There had to be a scene on CBS where she called him that and said why she will call him that name.
That's another obvious edit because no show starts off with a character calling another character a name and it's never stated why.

I don't think that it needs an explanation. I have a nick name that my family calls me and its just odd and has no reflection of my personality and it does not resembles my name. If we know why she calls him Grams why do they need to explain it?

Because she just starts off calling him that from the beginning and never stated why she is doing it. Even people on youtube wanted to know

It's not important to any of the storylines and if people on YouTube are asking the meaning behind his nickname then they are all dumbasses. Some times nicknames are just names with no meaning.
Willona calls Michael "Gramps" because he possessed knowledge beyond his young years.
