I'm in Anchorage right now and it was snowing at 8am when we got here and it hasn't stopped that I can tell. It's now 8:48pm. There is at least 3 inches outside but fortunately I guess they are used to it because all of the streets and sidwalks are nicely shoveled and cleared. I love Seattle with a passion but that kind of thing would never happen there.

We still have snow here in northeast Ohio. I just can't wait for the day where I can put my snow brush/scraper in my trunk and not give it another thought for the next 7 months or so!!!

Oh, yes, The higher elevations do get snow. Big Bear, as you mentioned, Lake Arrowhead, Frazier Park, etc. I am not near Big Bear Lake; it is about 60 miles from me but usually every year or so there is snow on the higher peaks of the Santa Susana mountains which is just northwest of me.

Sometimes, the snow level is about 2,000 feet and the high desert areas (Palmdale, Lancaster) get some light snow.

On very rare occasions (1989, 1949, 1932) the higher elevations of the valley areas can get some snow.

We got a little bit yesterday but not a whole lot, there is still a little bit on the ground now but not much.

I would be complaining! My idea of the perfect weather is 60-65 degrees. By mid-summer, it gets way to hot for me and I wish I was in Antarctica! :lol:

No complaining from me. I went for a bike ride at about 5 pm. It was about 73 degrees and I didn't need a jacket or sweater, just a T-shirt. So much easier to bike when you don't have to wear a lot of clothes.

Also, when it's 90 during the day, it makes for a pleasant evening. Can go out for a walk at 8 PM (again, without having to put on a lot of clothes).

Now if it went for a walk when it 35 degrees out, then I would be complaining!

I'd rather shovel the snow from the driveway in freezing temperatures than mow the lawn in the sweltering heat. But what you said about summer evenings is mostly true if it's breezy enough. I have two dogs that love to go on walks with me during breezy summer nights.

I live in Kansas and we got some over the weekend. It started out as rain and then turned into snow. We only got around an inch, if that. It drifted quite a bit due to the wind, but it had already stopped snowing by that point. The little snow we got is already melting and it's warming up. It's supposed to be in the 60's throughout the rest of the week. :)

My perfect weather is 72 and sunny. You can swim in the pool, feel a little warm...but not too much, and it's just yeah.

Bicycling wearing a ski mask? No thanks. I'd rather bicycle when it's warm and I can feel the nice, warm air on my face. For me, "cold" is anything below 55 degrees. :D

I can, but I also live in a very mountainous area. It's certainly not as warm as California though.
