From what I gather, Ann has lived as a sort of "Alice"-type house-guest/additional family member with her "Christian family" for many years.
In the mid-1970s, Ann moved to a religious commune in, Colorado, was it? There, she lived with 19 others, in a house of Christians. Then, in the 1980s, when the Bishop she was following got a calling to move to PA, she packed her bags and moved with him and his family. And, now, she's living in Texas, in a religious retirement community, if I understand right. Throughout all of this
Okay, I get all that. But, here's what I'm confused about:
When this religious life started for her, after she left the shared house and followed the bishop and his family to PA, what were the living arrangements there, for her? Did she live in the bishop's house, like an "Alice"-type house-guest, who is regarded as family, or did she live in their commune, in a little place of her own, i.e. not their house?
And, now that she is living in Texas, what's the situation with that? Is she living in the house of the bishop and his family, or is she living in her own home? In other words, does anyone have any idea whether or not her "living in a religious community in Texas" means she is sharing a church-home (like a convent) with others from within the community, or is she just basically living in a sort of designated, religious neighborhood, but on her own?
I just find Ann to be very interesting but also very confusing. So, if anyone could clear this up for me, I would appreciate it.
