I will probably will never make it to the high number of post some people have.

I am still striving to become my dream of being "forum legend"! I'm almost to 16,000! How many posts do I need to achieve my goal?:confused:

We got our abnormally high post counts from posting like crazy on the Random board way back in its heyday (prior to 2006, I think). I've been here almost 11 years now and if you view all my posts, you'll see I don't post like I used to. It's a lot for me if I post here on SO 10 times a month. :lol:

We got our abnormally high post counts from posting like crazy on the Random board way back in its heyday (prior to 2006, I think). I've been here almost 11 years now and if you view all my posts, you'll see I don't post like I used to. It's a lot for me if I post here on SO 10 times a month. :lol:

I care more about post QUALITY than post QUANTITY. There are people on here that have posted once or a few times that have contributed more to the forum than some people with hundreds of posts.

I'm one of those 524 people. I'm surprised that number isn't a lot higher, out of 55,000+ members less than 600 of them have a thousand posts or more.

I got a pretty good spot. I am # 28957, or it might be 289570. I'm not sure. The truth is, I really don't know and don't care what number I am. I am here for fun not to count posts.

You're still a Nighthawk. :lol: I don't stay up that late anymore. I'm in bed by 11 on most nights. Once in a while I'll stay up a little later. Sometimes I fall asleep at 9 in front of the TV. :eek:

I don't think that there was that much competition regarding forums prior to 2006. My Space had just started to fade away, Facebook was going strong, Twitter hadn't really caught on yet, and Reddit and Tumblr weren't around yet. There are probably 20 more social media options that an old fart like me hasn't heard of yet. :lol:
