This is a DigiView copy of Rescue, and I would say it's about a 7 max. Not great, but is watchable. But for some reason they left out the opening credits. which is just the sit right back from the 2nd or 3rd season.

Except that the photos have been updated, Judith Baldwin is credited, The Professor and Mary Ann have individual credits and "Rescue from" is in the end graphic..

Does it compare to the youtube uploads?

I have the same disc. The film appears to be taken from an old video broadcast master. 35mm with signs of color fading, but pretty decent considering the price. I haven't seen Digiview in Walmart for years now and they were a really cheap way to get some interesting titles for practically nothing. I got their version of Till The Clouds Roll By in a decent copy for 50 cents at a Dollar Tree about 5 years ago.

I have "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" on DVD- bought for a buck at Wal-Mart some years ago. I enjoyed watching this TV-movie as a kid and still find it fun to watch now. I'd love to see the other TV-movies some time though. ("The Castaways on Gilligan's Island" and "The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island")- It seems the first TV-movie is incredibly prevalent on DVD and VHS- but I can't seem to find any VHS or DVD release of the other two. Too bad... are they maybe included as extras with the season DVD sets of the "Gilligan's Island" show?

No. The reunion movies are NOT included as extras on the season sets.

"Rescue" is in public domain, the other two are not. Perhaps one day Warner Archive could release the three films together in a box set. That would be a nice set for those who have collected the series on DVD.

Universal has the rights to the other two movies, not WB, but I believe Universal has a MOD thing as well.

Thanks for answering. Bummer.
It'd be great to have all three reunion movies in a DVD box set. I'm sure Gilligan's Island fans would want to have them in their collection. I tend to be a completionist with most things so I like to have the whole series of a show on DVD- including reunion TV-movies. Even ones that many fans tend to deride. (Not saying this is the case for Gilligan's Island- just talking in general here.)

I saw them at Wal Mart years ago for a dollar each and so I bought all they had. It was like 18 copies. I still have a few.
