This is what Lisa had to say about them in her journal.

This entry is from September 20:

I've gotten the scoop on Kimmie and what she has been up to these last thirteen years. She filled me in on all of the exciting things in which she has been involved. As many of you know, shortly after "The Facts of Life" went off of the air in 1988, Kim was cast as Regin on The Fox Network's "Living Single" with Queen Latifah. She was on that show for five years.

Since that time she has focused much of her attention on directing. She began by directing a few of the "Living Single" episodes. From there she went on to direct many shows for Nickelodeon Channel, including the "Kenan and Kel Show", "100 Deeds of Eddie McDowd" and "The Jersey." My kids were especially impressed with this because "The Jersey" is one of their favorite shows. I was impressed because she directed both videotape and filmed shows, which are two totally different mediums.

To further catapult her into the amazing woman category, she directed for stage as well. Kimmie received an NAACP Image award for "Best Director" for her work bringing "Vanities" to the Los Angeles theater. She also acted in a few stage productions along the way.

More recently she has been enjoying hosting an afternoon radio show in Chicago. She expressed to me that she wants to experience as many different aspects of show business as possible.

This entry is from October 5:

Mindy has been busy going to school, acting in independent features, and traveling throughout Europe and all corners of the world.

She has also taped a few pilots. (A pilot is a complete episode of a show that is filmed and then viewed by the network. If they like the pilot then they "pick it up" and shoot more episodes to make it an official series. I don't know the exact ratio but I would guess that about one in twenty-five pilots ever turn into a full series.)

But she's not waiting around for that to happen anyway. She has started her own company, along with two other partners, called Storm Productions. Be on the look out for that name in upcoming movies and television shows.

I was most excited to hear about her development deal with Disney. That means she is under contract to Disney for them to create roles and projects for her to star in. It will be good to see her back on the screen more often. She is sooooo good.

Charlotte has been busy doing a bunch of theater. She was working in New York so often that she had to buy a pad in the City. She just finished starring in "Pippin" off-Broadway. She, also, has been doing a lot of traveling. She takes her one-woman show all over the country.

But she doesn't like to be away from Los Angeles for too long. Especially now that she has a brand-new grandson. Charlotte's fourteen-year-old granddaughter, Carly, is a big fan of our show now that she gets to watch it on Nick-at-Nite. She was supposed to fly to Toronto to watch us film for a week, but Grandma was too nervous about letting her fly after the terrorist tragedies. We all understood.
