Do you think steve should have married myra instead of laura ,laura was a witch to steve for all 9 seasons, myra seemed to have more passionate feeling for mr urkle, laura only liked steve because he looked similar to stefan, so who do you fans think steve should have married myra or laura ?

I no but Eddie was better looking and more muscular and a foot taller then wimpy steve lol,but yeah the only way myra would go out with eddie is if he put some love potion that steve created on himself and myra bumped into him then she would fall in love with him.

Laura. She reminds me of myself, a sassy no-nonsense black woman who speaks her mind, and that's what Steve like about her. She's not an easy weak pushover like Myra.

It's POSSIBLE Steve loved Laura more because she was a more stronger willed woman than Myra, but Steve never really explained WHY he loved Laura so much he would never consider marrying anyone else. Remember the season 2 episode, "Marriage 101," where each student had to name his or her top three choices for a classmate he or she would want to marry, and Steve put down Laura for all three choices LOL!!

I'll say it again, despite Myra's personality flaws, I am pretty sure Steve would not have regretted marrying Myra, if only he could have gotten over his feelings for Laura (like if say, Laura married someone else whom she was truly happy with and Steve finally wants to move on then). Myra's overbearing behavior would have been subverted forever if Steve finally saw Myra as the one.

You can keep going on and on about Steve and Myra, but it's not going to change my opinion about Steve and Laura. I still prefer Steve and Laura over Steve and Myra, and that's that. End of discussion.

I still say the writers shouldn't have even created the Myra character (or Stefan, for that matter) if Steve and Laura were really always intended to end up together (which I doubt, the writers may have been thinking maybe they wouldn't have Steve get Laura), or at least cut Myra out after season 5's "Nunsense." After "Nunsense," I'm pretty sure Steve knew full well what it's like to be in Laura's shoes, then he could back off and start dating other women (and it COULD have worked that way, as Steve did lust over other women in later seasons - remember the bug collector and Allison of Laura's sorority), only to have them all fail for some reason just like Laura's dates have all failed, then have Steve and Laura date after season 7's "Dream Date."

I think that they should've kept the Myra character, but just don't make her a damn needy, clingy, jealous, obsessive, possessive stalker at the end, but more like a friend after her and Steve broke up and then she went on with her life with another nerd and probably become a bridesmaid in Steve and Laura's wedding. She would be more like how she was in her first appearance as Ted's cousin. She, Maxine, Myrtle, Greta, and KC would be bridesmaids. That's what they should've done, not make her a fatal attraction type of stalker. They took it too far on that one. Stephan, on the other hand, should've NEVER EVER EVER been created in the first place. That was a dumb move. Steve was perfect just the way he is. Laura should've been working with Steve's as he was with a little improvement in his appearance. He will still be a nerd, and he will still love cheese and polka. This should've been done earlier like Season 6 or 7, not Season 9 when the show was damn near over. Bad timing. Very bad timing.

The writers suck. Whoever wrote the episodes on Family Matters should've been fired. They do things ass backwards. There were VERY VERY VERY few evidence of Steve and Laura subliminally having some feelings for each other, on Season 7, but it wasn't as BLATANT as Season 9. They should've start dating soon after Dream Date. Season 8 would be their courtship and engagement annoucement. Season 9 would've been their preparation for the wedding, and then the wedding day. That will be the true last season. They did the same thing with Fletcher and Estelle. In one episode, Fletcher and Estelle got engaged, and then the next episode, they got married. WTF??? That's too fast!!!!! Poor writing.

They should have had Myra and Steve just be friends after "Nunsense," if Myra were to remain on the show. It was just plain wrong of Steve to pretend to want to move on with her by going steady with her when he was clearly NOT over Laura later on. That could also serve as a backup plan, in case the writers decided Laura doesn't end up with Steve, then Steve would date Myra again in the last season and become engaged to her, assuming Myra hasn't moved on herself by then. Poor Steve though, if both Myra AND Laura found someone else.

That could happen, but I always thought that it was always the writers' intention to put Steve and Laura together even with Myra in the picture. They should've done it correctly though without hurting Myra. This is my opinion of what they should've done. I believe that if Steve and Laura started dating after the episode of Dream Date, and they fall in love, and Steve broke up with Myra and Laura broke up with Curtis, I don't think that Myra will turn into the psycho, possessive, jealous, fatal attraction type. Mind you, she wasn't as jealous and possessive on Season 7 and 8 as she was on Seasons 5 and 9. She calmed down in those two seasons. In these seasons, Myra and Laura were actually friends, and I don't think that she was mad at Steve and Laura for going to the senior prom together. So if Steve broke up with Myra after the Dream Date episode, it wouldn't be bittersweet, because Steve really did care about Myra, so she wouldn't be possessive as she was in Seasons 5 and 9. It was bad timing, VERY bad timing. And then, Myra would've moved on to somebody else in Season 8 and probably be engaged to that person in Season 9, and Myra will attend the wedding with that new man, and she would probably be the bridesmaid. That's how it should've went down.

You know that I stand by Steve and Laura 100%, BUT it was kind of rushed. The reason I said that is because they should've gotten Steve and Laura together SOONER. I'm not talking about in Seasons 1-4, but Seasons 6-8 maximum when Myra was a little calm and when Laura wasn't as shallow. That's PERFECT timing. Why do they wait until the last damn minute to get Steve and Laura together and have Myra turn into a psychotic, possessive evil person in the last season? I think that they should have both Laura AND Myra in better positions in the last Season. They waited until the last season to pair Steve and Laura up. It was a little forced. Again, I always knew that they intend Steve and Laura to pair up romantically before the last season, but if they would've handle it sooner and better, then it wouldn't looked so rushed. Just like that Estelle and Fletcher engagement and wedding situation. It's the same scenario.

I still say Steve shouldn't have led Myra on in the sixth season though. If Steve REALLY cared about Myra and wanted her to be happy, he wouldn't have held on to her for four years until Laura loved him back, when he knew full well he'd dump her in a second the instant Laura shows attraction to him. Steve pretty much used Myra, which again, may not have been so bad when he did it in the fifth season, since Myra did agree to his terms, but Myra clearly wasn't happy with those terms anymore when she demanded he go steady with her. He should have just told Myra to be friends so that she's free to date others and find someone who truly loves her for who she is and not just her nerdy interests.

You are absolutely right. I'm going to take some back of what I said. Yes, in Season 5 AFTER "Nunsense", they should've stayed friends if it was intended for Steve and Laura to be together in the first place which it was, and then she would find someone that loved her for her. I love Steve and Laura together, but if there was the writers' intention for Steve and Laura to get together down the line which it was, then they would have Steve and Myra dating briefly and not some 4 years, and there will be no Stephan at all whatsoever. In Season 6, they would've have Steve and Myra as friends instead, but they have Myra demanding and force loyalty from Steve, and he gave in until Laura show some interest. Now that part wasn't right. They should've done the Steve and Laura pairing the right way. I think that they should've have Steve and Laura falling for each other in season 6 instead of season 9. Season 9 is too late for Steve and Laura to develop courtship, engagement, and then marriage. If the writers would've did that, then Steve wouldn't lead Myra on for 4 years because all those years of them going steady, Steve always had the heart for Laura.

It's possible to be with someone for 4 years without loving them enough to marry them. Trust me, I've been there. I was one of those Myra type women who was needy, who put all eggs in one basket. I was with this individual for a long time until one day, he called and told me that he found somebody else and got engaged to be married. So that means, he's been seeing that woman behind my back, and he was just using me as a hold out until something better came along. So I sort of know what Myra is going through.

So, that's why I'm saying that Steve and Laura should start having feelings for each other after the Nunsense episode. I used to say the Dream Date episode, but when you said Nunsense, and then I thought back of what I've personally went through, it made sense. They should've have Steve and Myra be friends, and then Myra and Laura will be friends too, and then at the end of the season, Steve and Laura got married, and Maxine, Myra, Myrtle, Greta, and KC would be bridesmaids. They would all be friends, and they wouldn't portray Myra as a possessive, jealous stalker.

That's my opinion.

Myra struck me as the type of girl that would end up having 10 or 11 kids from Steve Urkel if they ever got married she was Sex-Crazed, has anyone seen the episode from season 5 Presumed Urkel where she kisses Steve Urkel infront of gawking teenage people in the background she was bold lol.

One thing that does not make since was what in the world could Laura give Steve that his girlfriend Myra was not giving Myra was kissing the life out of him she was up and ready to make love with him her boobs were bigger than laura's she had a better body figure Steve had some mental problem if had nothing better to do but make laura's life a living nightmare he is the reason she could not keep a boyfriend he would follow her on dates to annoy the hell out of her boyfriends , my theory is Steve Urkel thought of Laura as a challenge men like challenge from women its the competition that men like for example two men chasing after one woman makes them excited its like which guy does she find more interesting lol.

I SO agree with you on this post. I love talking to you and RPM. You do put out some information to think about.

Laura has a pretty face, but she's no Myra, and if Myra was brown skinned or dark skinned, she will still have a gorgeous face because she has that unique, neotenous youthful appearance, and she has that unique facial structure that stands out where if she's light, brown, or dark. If Myra was dark or brown, she will look like Debbi Morgan, another brown skinned beauty because they both have the same facial features and structure. Plus Laura looks better with long hair than short hair. When Laura had that Caesar looking boycut, her looks fell off in my opinion. She was the prettiest with long hair, I don't care what nobody say. No wonder people say that Myra look better than Laura. Her short haircut make her look unattractive.

I understand that men are visuals, and men are going to judge a woman's looks more than anything, so I understand why men will think that Steve should stayed with Myra rather than Laura. Myra does have a better shape. She has bigger boobs than Laura, and she's willing to screw more than Laura. Now, I'm telling you what men told me in real life. A woman can be fine as all hell, but if she always wanting to put out the first moment she meets a guy, they are not going to take her seriously in a long run. These type of women are only good for sex, but when it's time for them to get serious, settle down, and get married, they are not going to choose these women no matter how good they look. Men have two types of women: one for free no-string-attached sex and one for long-term relationship/marriage. Most men don't want to turn a hoe into a housewife. Most men don't want a woman that makes herself too easy and too available. She may not be a hoe, but if she jump on his bones too early or trying to have sex with him too early, he is going to PERCEIVE her as a hoe. This is how most men think. Unfortunately, Myra is the type of woman that men will smash and bounce even though she looks good.

Now a lot of people are saying to themselves "what does Steve see in Laura". Laura is a pretty woman as well, but she's not super super super gorgeous. Most women aren't super super super gorgeous. Laura is what I will call average pretty, like a 5-8. Her body is not thick like Myra's. Her boobs are not big like Myra's. She doesn't put out at all. She's a virgin. She doesn't make herself too easy and available, and this is why a lot of men chase after her more. This is what men told me. Most men like challenge. Most men like mystery. Yes, Laura is sassy, but surprisingly, most men like that. It shows them that she's not to be ****ed with. She respects herself. She's assure of herself. She makes herself exclusive. This is what attracts Steve Urkel, and this is why he's in love with her. She may not be super super super gorgeous, and she may not have a very curvy body, but she's pretty enough for men to be with her, and her not being TOO easy and available, and her being a virgin, and her not giving in to sex attracts a whole lot of men. This is why Steve married Laura.

What was shocking on the show was how Myra was not being hit on by other guys on the show. In the season 5 opener, one would expect someone in the high school cafeteria to say to Myra, "Hey pretty, if the nerd doesn't want you, I'll take you!" LOL

I agree. As good-looking as she is, she can pull any man that she wants, but she still settle for Steve. I guess they see how she is to Steve wanting to sleep with him too soon, so they pass. Men don't think the same as women.

Some men think the same as women its just some men are horny and will settle for anyone lol

The Producers are to blame i dont remember any guy on the show flirting with Myra thats strange not even Eddie or Waldo made a pass at Myra, one thing thats strange why does Myra look like the chick from Season 3 episode The Love of God where the fast girl wants to date Steve for helping her with her math they both look alike.
