I knew it was coming up
MRPITT 03-19-2013, 09:32 PM Gordon Jump creeped me out for years after this originally aired.
Neutronman67 03-20-2013, 09:36 AM People thought he was really a creep in real life after he did DS lol
Gordon Jump's character was the sitcom version of Jerry Sandusky:
A “very special” Diff’rent Strokes that’s terrifying for all the wrong reasons (http://www.avclub.com/articles/a-very-special-diffrent-strokes-thats-terrifying-f,101869/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=LinkPreview:1:Default)
Mace Dolex 09-17-2013, 08:18 PM Diff'rent Strokes had another memorable two-parter in which Kimberly and Arnold go out shopping for Drummond's birthday and decide to hitchhike back home not knowing that the nice fellow that picks them up is a bit of a wacko who comes on strong to Kimberly.
Another episode is when Arnold and Sam discover their friend who is a street performer suffers from seizures.
Mace Dolex 10-31-2013, 02:40 PM This 2-parter was just aired over the weekend and I hadn't seen it in a long time that I totally can see how Gordon Jump's character comes off as a creepy lonely guy masked by a gentle kind face by giving gifts to Arnold and free treats to Arnold and Dudley.
I had forgotten how hysterical seeing Arnold and Dudley freaking out at the nudie mag and cartoons, also noticed that one of the comic books Dudley picks up is clearly a Superman comic but with stickers covering up the front cover I guess the show's producers didn't need to pay for licensing.
Larenz09 11-04-2013, 10:44 PM Shavar Ross had suffered a real-life drama of that by a friend of his family.
it happened about the same time that he and Gary were taping the 2-part episode.
He was assaulted while he was sleeping.

Gay has nothing to do with it. The bicycle man was a pedophile.
Zoneboy 11-20-2013, 01:25 AM People thought he was really a creep in real life after he did DS lol
Those are the ones that can't distinguish acting from real-life.
TVFactFan 11-20-2013, 01:28 AM Posts by Neutrouman are not to be taken seriously
Larenz09 11-20-2013, 02:10 AM Gay has nothing to do with it. The bicycle man was a pedophile.
You're right!
He was a stone-cold pedophile / child molester.
Zoneboy 11-20-2013, 02:33 AM The guy was just getting paid to PLAY the part.
In real life, he was not gay, nor was he a pedophile.
Distinguish the two before you decide to accuse someone, in this case an actor, of being gay or a pedophile
Where in that post did Neutronman accuse Gordon Jump of being gay or a pedophile? He referred to the character, not the actor.
Larenz09 11-20-2013, 10:13 AM Sorry.
Thought that he meant in real life.
Deleted it.
