View Full Version : 100 reasons to hate Michelle
wiseguy182 03-16-2013, 04:43 AM 1. She disobeyed Uncle Jesse, fooled around and broke the dinosaur exhibit.
2. she hopped up on the dinner table and ruined all the chocolate cake samples...and ruining Jesse and Rebecca's wedding as a result.
3. she brought her pool into the kitchen
4. she got up late at night and watched Aresnio and woke the whole house up.
5. She was a whiny, spoiled brat.
6. She spoke mostly in stupid, annoying catch phrases
7. She was hideously ugly. What child has bags under their eyes?
8. She had creepy eyes.
9. She said "Duh?" all the time.
10. She wouldn't eat anything but sweets.
KEEP IT GOING!!!!
Spark Of Spirit 03-16-2013, 07:48 PM My list would be 100 variations of #5.
wiseguy182 03-17-2013, 03:12 AM 11. she existed.
12. she let her sisters take the blame for all her crap.
13. she made the twins into her slaves
14. she tied up Teddy and wouldn't let him go.
15. she threw a fit every time she didn't get her way and tried to make people feel sorry for her.

17. she forced the whole family to stay when they could have moved into a bigger house.
18. she threw a temper tantrum when she lost the Yankee Doodle Dandy part to a much better actor.
19. she couldn't act.
20. she didn't die.
KEEP IT GOING!!
MrCleveland 03-17-2013, 11:58 AM Here's one...
She acted like she was a queen in the "Disney World" episode. (Michelle Tanner will be in my Top-16 Female Jerks list).
mets82 03-17-2013, 02:06 PM That Disney World episode where she was queen says it all. They had to give her a crown? She was the queen of that house. Reason why I think Full House went down in years. It became the "Michelle Tanner Show".
I believe that there was an episode that had Danny dating Gia's mother and Michelle didnt like it. Or how about when they were going to sell the house and she didnt want to give it up? Those two points alone annoyed me.
wiseguy182 03-18-2013, 12:34 AM 23. she felt entlitled to everything.
24. she kicked a goal for the wrong team in soccer.
25. she stole Stephanie's bed.
26. the little snot hid Uncle Jesse's wedding ring.
27. she threw a hissy fit when the twins were born on the same day as her.
28. she cheated on a test.
29. she stole Stephanie's beloved Mr. Bear, the gift her Mom got her before she died.
30. she killed a goldfish by drowning it in a foam bath.
31. she released the class bird.
32. she stole Stephanie's cupcake
33. she wasted an entire loaf of bread by throwing it on the lawn.
I hate that little snot.
We can get to 100 no problem
KEEP IT GOING!!
wiseguy182 03-18-2013, 01:25 AM 34. she stole Stephanie's Counting Crows concert ticket, even though she didn't know who they were.
35. when she had the opportunity to get a free tv or karaoke machine, she picks the cardboard cut-out
36. she lost Comet and then blamed it on Uncle Jesse.
37. she jumped in the leaves, ruining all the work DJ and Stephanie did.
38. she jumped up and down on her bed.
mets82 03-18-2013, 10:32 AM Thats true but I will give her some slack on a few of them because she was only 3 or 4 yrs. old. As she got older, I can see your point and I feel the same way.
*ROGER* 03-18-2013, 11:14 AM 39. She wanted to name Uncle Jesse's baby "Big Bird"
40. She was a blabber-mouth and told her dad about the secret ninja kid's club she and her friends had. It was supposed to be a secret.
wiseguy182 03-19-2013, 01:34 AM 41. She broke into Uncle Jesse's room, played with his equipment when he told her not to and recorded over his jingle for work, and then went on a guilt trip about it.
42. She never got disciplined and always got away with things.
43. she annoyed everyone in the house, shadowing Stephanie, singing that Baby Beluga song over and over, and just generally irritating everyone.
44. she demanded a bunch of things in the episode where she and Stephanie went to Australia, like her choice of seats.
45. she was really obnoxious in that movie theater episode, ruining DJ's date with Steve and almost getting Kimmy fired.
46. she cut in line in Disneyworld and stole Stephanie's Queen for a Day status, and even though Michelle got all her wishes (as usual) she still didn't like it and throw a fit and ran away, ruining everyone's vacation.
KEEP IT GOING!!!
*ROGER* 03-19-2013, 10:45 AM 47. Michelle barged in on Uncle Jesse and Rebecca when they got back from their honeymoon. They just wanted some "newlywed time" but Michelle INSISTED they pay her some attention and complained to Joey until he told her they were doing their taxes.
Neutronman67 03-19-2013, 12:38 PM Hate is a bad word she was a little annoying but she was just a kid she was kinda spoiled that might have something to do with her being stuck up or shelfish to other people in the show, if michelle did not get her way she gets an attitude.
Ihavealife2uknow 03-20-2013, 01:45 AM 48. Because in the episode where she has to pick a best friend to trace she goes to D.J. and tells her she went to her best sister and since Stephanie said no D.J. was her only shot.
Prince Michael 03-20-2013, 02:38 AM She only did what the writers and directors wanted her to do !
wiseguy182 03-20-2013, 03:53 AM Hate is a bad word she was a little annoying but she was just a kid she was kinda spoiled that might have something to do with her being stuck up or shelfish to other people in the show, if michelle did not get her way she gets an attitude.
She was shelfish to other people? Yeah I agree, she was being all oyster to those people!
Hate may be a strong word, but that's the way most people feel about her, and rightly so. She was a rude, obnoxious little brat who demanded her way all the time and had no regard for other people's feelings. In any event, by the time we're done, we're going to have 100 examples of why Michelle was an evil person, and that will be too much for you or anyone to deny.
wiseguy182 03-20-2013, 03:57 AM 49. She called that joke hotline and ran up the phone bill
50. She also ran up the phone bill when she called all those overseas people.
51. That time she had her friends over for a birthday party and she told them she hated the gifts they got her.
52. She fully expected Steve to marry her even though she was like 6 at the time, and threw a hissy fit and stormed off when he obviously wouldn't marry her.
Neutronman67 03-22-2013, 12:04 AM Yeah the show could have been much better without her in the show
wiseguy182 03-23-2013, 02:47 AM 53. That time she wanted Uncle Jesse, a cool guy and a grown man, to keep those pink bunnies on the wall.
Lorimar Television 03-23-2013, 08:38 PM 53. That time she wanted Uncle Jesse, a cool guy and a grown man, to keep those pink bunnies on the wall.
That was Stephanie.
MrCleveland 03-24-2013, 01:45 PM Here's one...
The last episode where she's unconscious she lets her cousins play with her toy, but when she regains conscious she tells Nicky and Alex to give back her toy...and NOT in a nice way!
I would feel sorry for Michelle Tanner since she never knew her mom, but her selfishness and arrogance just can't bring sympathy for Michelle!
ThomasE 03-25-2013, 05:12 PM Yeah the show could have been much better without her in the show
Are you for real? LOL.
wiseguy182 03-26-2013, 01:51 AM Michelle was only tolerable in the early days before she could talk.
MrCleveland 03-27-2013, 04:21 PM Here's one...
Michelle would fool Stephanie more than once in the episode "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by saying Comet is having babies...but Comet is a male!
Luckily, Stephanie tries to give Michelle a lesson by hiding the ice cream.
mets82 03-27-2013, 05:31 PM This probably was already mentioned but what about when Michelle was part of the "Polite Police?" I remember her saying "Polite Police is over" and she stole Stephanie's cupcake after Stephanie said, very politely "No you may not" when Michelle whined about wanting her cupcake.
DJM77 03-27-2013, 05:32 PM Luckily, Stephanie tries to give Michelle a lesson by hiding the ice cream.
You mean the alse cream.
wiseguy182 06-08-2013, 03:57 AM 54. Ever notice how Michelle always makes everyone into her bitch?, going up to various people and demanding they play horsey with her, and forcing them to get down on their hands and knees and ride her all over the damn house. Or when she forced Danny to kneel and act like a dog and had him fetch over and over. She treats everyone like their her indentured servants.
55. When it was Uncle Jesse's 26 birthday, she kept bothering him to fix her stupid jack-in-the-box, then tried to make off with all of his gifts.
56. As if Michelle stealing and hiding Stephanie's beloved Mr. Bear wasn't bad enough, that same episode when Jesse's mom and dad come by the house to have Steph pick out a new bear, Michelle rudely ignores her grandparents and tries to take all of the bears for herself. She also tried to steal Mr. Bear earlier in the episode but Steph caught her.
57. Blabbed about Jesse and Rebecca's wedding in Tahoe, Nevada.
58. When Joey and Jesse were trying to land that big advertising job with the awesome office with the scenic view, Michelle nearly ruined it for them. Then she locked everyone out of the office.
59. Would always hang up the phone whenever Joey and Jesse's boss called them at home, then locked them out of the house.
God I hate that stupid little troll.
Goldilocks 06-14-2013, 03:41 PM 60. All she could say half the time was "You got it, dude!"
shotzette 06-14-2013, 03:59 PM She looked/looks like a creepy-a$$ little troll doll?
*ROGER* 06-14-2013, 04:42 PM She looked/looks like a creepy-a$$ little troll doll?
She should have been cast in horror films.
Mr. Television 06-14-2013, 05:03 PM She was a spoiled brat.
An 80s Guy 06-16-2013, 06:26 PM 62. She killed Heath Ledger
just kidding........
MrCleveland 06-16-2013, 07:39 PM Here's a couple from the ep, "Come Fly With Me"....
Michelle insists Stephanie to ride on the plane with her while going to New Zealand.
Michelle starts to annoy Stephanie with the passengers singing along with Michelle with "Coming Around the Mountain".
Furienna 06-17-2013, 12:16 AM Do we really need a thread just for hating Michelle?
wiseguy182 06-17-2013, 01:25 AM Do we really need a thread just for hating Michelle?
oh please. imdb has a whole FORUM devoted to hating Michelle. You're almost as bad as Faith. I wish to educate people on how evil Michelle was.
Satan on Michelle Tanner: "that gal taught me a few tricks."
wiseguy182 06-17-2013, 01:27 AM 62. She killed Heath Ledger
just kidding........
well, she did.
Nice avatar, btw. We have an Unsolved Mysteries forum right here on SO. Feel free to drop by.
wiseguy182 08-30-2013, 05:21 AM 63. that time when she wouldn't share any of her toys with any of the kids with the sandbox play group. She rudely snatched HER toys away whenever Uncle Jesse tried to give some to that redheaded kid.
Furienna 08-30-2013, 02:10 PM oh please. imdb has a whole FORUM devoted to hating Michelle. You're almost as bad as Faith. I wish to educate people on how evil Michelle was.

Wawwie 08-30-2013, 04:38 PM Do we really need a thread just for hating Michelle?
Why not? She was a horrible, selfish little monster!
64. When she traced a picture of the dog as her best friend for a class project. She was just trying to gain sympathy after she drove away Denise and Teddy.
Furienna 08-30-2013, 05:00 PM Why not? She was a horrible, selfish little monster!
She was a little kid behaving like many little kids do. I bet you did a lot of things when you were five or six years old, that you're not that proud of now.
wiseguy182 08-31-2013, 12:16 AM 65. When Granny Tanny (Doris Roberts, who got HUGE applause btw and deservedly so) came in and bought Michelle that brand new pencil bed, Michelle jumps up and down on it. Uncle Jesse tells her not to, then she immediately disobeys him and does it again and tries to hide it.
I don't know about you, but when I was a kid, I jumped up and down on my bed ONCE and got a spanking that I still remember to this day, roughly 30 years later. I also used to work with a guy that said if he ever jumped up on and down on his bed, he would get smacked off the bed. Clearly, the Tanners are a lot more lenient regarding this.
wiseguy182 08-31-2013, 12:20 AM She was a little kid behaving like many little kids do. I bet you did a lot of things when you were five or six years old, that you're not that proud of now.
But Furienna, we have a list 65 items strong and growing. Yes, nobody's perfect, and we all make mistakes, especially when we're younger. But Michelle did a lot of really horrible things. She made her sister's lives miserable and disrupted the entire household. Do you know anyone that tied someone up so they couldn't leave like Michelle did? Or enslave people the way Michelle did with the twins?
Furienna 08-31-2013, 06:54 AM Excuse me, but I come from a country, where spanking has been illegal since 1979, and I agree with that law. I prefer a disobedient child over child abuse.
I don't remember most of these incidents, which you have brought up, so I can't comment on them. But when Michelle guilted Jesse and Becky into not getting their own place, it was just this show's cheap way to have Jesse stay in the house. At least they put some realism into it by having Jesse hesitating about it.
I bet Michelle did a lot of stupid things, but yet again, she was only a child. I believe she was only eight years old, when the show was cancelled. And despite what some people claim, I remember her being punished on several occasions, so what more do you want? I just remember her as a normal girl, behaving like many kids do.
Wawwie 08-31-2013, 07:07 AM Excuse me, but I come from a country, where spanking has been illegal since 1979, and I agree with that law. I prefer a disobedient child over child abuse.

Nobody in this thread said that Michelle deserved to be physically abused. Michelle was spoiled rotten by her father, Jesse and Joey. All the adults catered to this brat's every whim. That's why the little twerp acted out, because she knew she could get away with anything. And I only remember her being punished once when she put her play pool in the kitchen and made a mess. She was daddy's little princess to a nauseating extreme. It was mostly Danny's fault for being a sucky parent.
wiseguy182 09-01-2013, 12:23 AM Yeah, for ALL the crap she pulled, I only remember her being punished ONCE, and all that consisted of was her having to sit in a chair and look at the wall for a little while. Big whoop. She was never grounded or had any of her toys or priviledges taken away.
And Michelle was particularly irritating in that episode. DJ and Stephanie had raked up all those leaves and she jumps in the pile and messes everything up. And gets away with it. Then she gets up way past her bedtime and turns on Arsenio and wakes the house up. And gets away with it. And then she dragged her kiddie pool into the kitchen and Danny blames....Dj and Stephanie for it? You think Dj and Stephanie could get away with anything Michelle did?
yankeesfan82 09-25-2013, 03:21 PM 66. She wouldn't let anyone get away with lying.
wiseguy182 09-27-2013, 01:03 AM 67. She was irritating all throughout the birthday episode. First, her birthday was in 3 days, but she was impatient and wanted her birthday NOW. Then she destroys her cake. Then when they get locked in the garage, she has a major league pouty fit until Jesse and Stephanie are demoted to putting grease on their faces and doing up an elaborate party, all to appease Michelle. And then she gets to go home and have another party at home, complete with elephant. Who gets an elephant for their birthday?
MrCleveland 09-27-2013, 08:53 AM Michelle ALWAYS made that stupid surprise face...I hate that!
wiseguy182 10-17-2013, 01:37 AM 69. She was an irritating brat in "Lust in the Dust". First, she spends the entire episode hiding everyone's stuff. Then, when Stephanie throws down a wicked dance routine, Michelle just can't stand it that someone else is getting attention, so she decides to "dance" which is nothing more than her shaking her butt a few times. I *really* didn't need to see that.
And why is that every time somebody displays some talent, Michelle has to copy them and mess it up badly and swing the attention back to her?
mets82 10-21-2013, 03:19 PM Or how about in the Super Bowl episode where she had to go to the stupid museum or whatever. On Super Bowl Sunday??!!! I think if I was living there, I would have moved out by then.
MrCleveland 10-23-2013, 01:49 PM What episode did Michelle tell Stephanie "You're Supposed to keep your eyes to your Head"...or something like that?
Stephanie is just telling Michelle that no else should be seeing her cards, but Michelle HAD to be a bitch and...GRR!
I saw that clip on the Nostalgia Critic who DID review "Full House".
wiseguy182 11-05-2013, 01:28 AM 72. That episode where they were watching a baby, Michelle was jealous the entire episode because Lord knows she can't stand anyone paying attention to anyone else but her, not even for one minute. Then she woke up the baby after Uncle Jesse had just put him down for a nap. And what was borne out of all this? Jesse convincing Stephanie to give up her beloved Mr. Bear just so he could appease UgSnot. Revolting little bitch.
MrCleveland 11-19-2013, 02:29 PM Anyone mention the episode where Michelle put everything on the table and then NOT putting everything on the table?
And that was the same episode where Michelle just yelled "FINE" when she saw her older sisters fighting thinking it was a game...they were fighting dammit!
copywriter 11-29-2013, 12:18 PM LOL I am a recent transfer from that board. I don't mind hate threads but most of the intelligence has gone out of that board.
ThomasE 11-29-2013, 12:31 PM A "Hate Michelle" thread. SMH. I will admit, she was annoying during season 4. I liked her as she got older, though.
copywriter 11-29-2013, 12:33 PM I suggest you never go to the IMDB board - that place is insane. LOL
ThomasE 11-29-2013, 02:47 PM I been there too. Adults are so child like.
Furienna 11-29-2013, 03:19 PM "Insane" is an understatement. Most boards on IMDB are good places, where you can have polite discussions. But I totally gave up on their "Full House" boards this spring. Those sick people want Danny's wife to have died already while she was pregnant, just so Michelle wouldn't be born! Yes, I'm serious! There really was a thread like that on IMDB, and only I and one more person had the courage to object. And if you don't take all their crap, they call you an idiot. So much hate for a little kid on a sitcom, that was cancalled eighteen years ago! Michelle maybe wasn't a perfect little angel, but really!
JamesG 02-23-2014, 03:58 PM Just what this thread needs...
2Wt6kZUICo0
Spark Of Spirit 02-23-2014, 07:46 PM When Michelle knocked over the dinosaur skeleton and Danny and Jesse were fighting with each other instead of the real culprit. Then Jesse ends up having to work community service because of it.
MrCleveland 03-11-2014, 02:02 PM Here's one...
Michelle finds a bunch of chips and she tries to open them all...but luckily she was caught.
MacLeaper 03-11-2014, 02:10 PM Really? A whole thread about 100 reasons to hate Michelle? Sorry- but I've never understood the reasoning behind hating a fictional character to begin with- but at least, if you're going to do that, why not let the subject of hatred be Lex Luthor or Dr. Doom or an actual villian on a TV show? Being morally outraged at a fictional character is a different matter- that's actually generally a good thing because stories can certainly get across points of morality and awaken us to important issues in real life that we should address.
But when it comes to a sweet show like "Full House"- wow. I LOVE "Full House" and I LOVE Michelle as well. It's a great show and she's a fun character on the show. And by the way, DJ and Stephanie were probably just as precocious when they were younger as well- in fact, Stephanie would probably be considered as annoying as Michelle at times in the early seasons of the show. I don't find any of them annoying- they're just acting like kids because they are kids- and I think the show is funny and sweet.
This reminds me of the hatred spewed upon fictional characters like Scrappy-Doo and Wesley Crusher, which I also don't get.
People are welcome to their opinons of course- but I don't support this one.
MrCleveland 03-11-2014, 02:16 PM ^I like "Full House" too, but I dislike Michelle...not hate, just dislike her attitude on her show. Sure her character never knew her mom, but it didn't give her an excuse to be a brat.
ThomasE 03-11-2014, 02:41 PM She seemed bratty to me during seasons four and five. I did not like it when she decided that she could not take it any longer and she decided to dive into those sample cakes for Jesse and Rebecca's wedding. I wanted to spank her behind when I saw that. That was not cute to me at all.
mets82 03-11-2014, 04:12 PM I agree with Mr. Cleveland's point +100
Furienna 03-11-2014, 05:34 PM I totally agree with MacLeaper. Michelle might have been a brat some times, but really, she was just like many real kids are. It seems like people hate her for no reason at all. They will even complain at Michelle for doing things, like eating those cake samples, which the grown-ups actually allowed her to do. If it was so wrong, be angry with the grown-ups, who allowed her to do it, not with a four-year-old child! And no matter what her haters will say, Michelle didn't always get what she wanted. And I remember at least three times, when she actually was punished!
MacLeaper 03-13-2014, 02:45 PM They will even complain at Michelle for doing things, like eating those cake samples, which the grown-ups actually allowed her to do. If it was so wrong, be angry with the grown-ups, who allowed her to do it, not with a four-year-old child!
Spot on. Yes, Michelle should have had more restraint and respect. But, she was also a 4 year old kid. Children have to learn discipline and respect- and as Furienna pointed out, she was disciplined on the show as well. But many times- the adults on the show thought things like this were cute and just laughed as she indulged.
I can understand being upset that Danny didn't do a better job of punishing her and correcting bad behavior, but I don't understand disliking the character altogether because she sometimes got into trouble. She also had moments where she was very sweet and obedient and selfless. And ultimately, she's still just a fictional character reflecting a microcosm of human development, which I would say rings true for most kids. And even when kids do wrong, you still love the children because they are yours.
If people don't like her, that's their choice- but I don't have a problem with Michelle or the show.
wiseguy182 03-13-2014, 03:04 PM whoa, whoa, WHOA!!! Michelle punished 3 times? The only time I can ever recall her being punished was when Danny sent her up to her room once. Big deal, she has tons of toys and books in there. When else was she punished?
btw, Scrappy Doo sucks.
MacLeaper 03-13-2014, 04:01 PM whoa, whoa, WHOA!!! Michelle punished 3 times? The only time I can ever recall her being punished was when Danny sent her up to her room once. Big deal, she has tons of toys and books in there. When else was she punished?
Yes, this was in the "Crimes and Michelle's Demeanor" episode. For the record, she was made to sit in the corner and look at the wall and not do anything else. However, I agree that it's entirely possible she may have read books and played with toys unless Danny, Joey or Jesse were there monitoring her the whole time. This is why I don't always think "time outs" are terribly effective. Perhaps they can be for some kids in some situations, but I generally believe in spanking as the recommended discipline method- for some situations and kids at a certain age. (And yes, there are times when other methods can be used effectively. But that's another debate.) You have to remember that a lot of the times on "Full House", when the parental figures approached the girls about something they had done wrong, where many parents might insert a punishment of some sort- there was instead a talk it out session that ending with a confession of wrongdoing and a pledge to do right with the pact sealed with a hug. True, the girls did get grounded a lot though and were sometimes given chores to do as well. I feel sure there were other episodes where Michelle was given a specific punishment, but I would have to research the episodes more to find them. Perhaps Furienna can clarify though.
btw, Scrappy Doo sucks.
You are welcome to your opinion, of course, but why do you say that?
janet42 03-30-2014, 01:21 PM Yeah Michelle was spoiled, but it was just a show and she did get punished a few other times Besides Michelle getting time out in the 4th season, here are a few other times that she got punished:
1. When Michelle, Stephanie, and DJ snuck into the movie theater, all of the
girls were punished.
2. In the sixth season when Michelle and her friend called a 1-900 number,
she had to go to bed early for a week.
3. Also in the sixth season when Michelle and Stephanie sneaked on the
plane to South America, both of the girls got grunded for a month.
MrCleveland 03-30-2014, 01:29 PM Yeah Michelle was spoiled, but it was just a show and she did get punished a few other times Besides Michelle getting time out in the 4th season, here are a few other times that she got punished:

3. Also in the sixth season when Michelle and Stephanie sneaked on the

The 3rd entry was actually New Zealand, but yes both Stephanie and Michelle were grounded...yet DJ gave them gifts of what she got from Spain.
caladon 03-30-2014, 10:51 PM When a child at that age is allowed to get away with all of the things mentioned throughout this thread without punishment and is constantly catered to in order to keep them happy, then the blame should be placed on the three spineless adults in the house; especially the father. Kind of makes you wonder what the writers were up to.
wiseguy182 03-31-2014, 01:03 AM When a child at that age is allowed to get away with all of the things mentioned throughout this thread without punishment and is constantly catered to in order to keep them happy, then the blame should be placed on the three spineless adults in the house; especially the father. Kind of makes you wonder what the writers were up to.
I agree. I tend to give Uncle Jesse a little slack, mainly because he gave up a really good lifestyle in order to play Mr. Mom, but Danny and Joey had no excuse.
Joey needed to get a real job and quit his ATROCIOUS "comedy" act. Perhaps those cartoon voices and dumb jokes might work well with the kids, but that kinda crap doesn't cut it in the real world. I really have no idea how a boring, long-winded, obnoxious and plain-looking guy like Danny Tanner would get a job hosting his own morning talk show, but he needed to be more involved with the kids lives.
Furienna 03-31-2014, 02:34 PM Well, I know that Michelle got punished in at least four episodes (you might argue that it's not enough when the show was eight seasons long, but still). And I even say that Danny was wrong to punish her on two of those occassions.
1: Stephanie really tried to get herself and Michelle off the airplane to New Zeeland before it was too late, but the stupid stewardess wouldn't listen to her. And how exactly were they able to get on that plane, when they weren't supposed to be there? It was only because Danny was more concerned about bitching at 16-year-old DJ for drinking coffee con leche than watching his two younger daughters! I so hate that episode...
2: And when Michelle followed her sisters to the movies and was punished, wouldn't her only other option have been to stay at home alone? Yeah, that sounds like another stupid episode...
And no, Michelle really didn't get everything that she wanted. She was not allowed to have a piece of that cake, when she didn't even know the girl who had a birthday. She was also called out on her behavior in the Disneyland episode. She was not allowed to play Yankee Doodle in that play, which both her sisters had done, not even when the boy who got the part got a stage fright. If the grown-ups were as lenient with her as some people claim they were, she wouldn't have been punished even once, and she would have gotten everything she wished for!
wiseguy182 04-01-2014, 02:13 AM how was Michelle punished? Being punished a few times over the course of 8 years and with all the crap she pulled, that's small potatoes. And she was doing major stuff like breaking that dinosaur exhibit.
I only vaguely recall most of the plots you mentioned, but as far as cake goes, Michelle got MORE than her fair share of cake and other sweets throughout the show. How bout that time she hopped up on the table and crammed all those cake samples in her mouth? Those were supposed to be so that Jesse and Rebecca could decide on a cake for their wedding and Michelle totally sabotaged it. Could have ruined their wedding.
Furienna 04-01-2014, 04:07 AM So then it was up to Jesse and Becky to stop her, but they didn't obviously. Michelle was four years old at the time. Four-year-olds are bound to do stupid stuff.
tvfan25 04-01-2014, 08:16 AM I don't even know what number we're up to now! But I've got some
Where Michelle went to preschool and pinched another kid and Uncle Jesse pulled her out of school.
She sprayed whipped cream all over Rusty, the son of Danny's girlfriend.
The one where Danny is dating Gia's mom and Michelle doesn't like it at all. They go to the Smash Club and Michelle comes out of the bathroom looking and acting like a biker chick.
Where Michelle is supposed to draw her best friend. She can't decide between Denise and Teddy so she takes their possessions. Then when neither one of them wants her as a friend, she decides to draw the dog!
She loses Comet.
She gets sent to the principal's office for acting up in class just because Joey's the substitute teacher and she thinks she can get away with it.
Instead of buying candy with Kimmy, she buys an annoying donkey.
mets82 04-01-2014, 04:44 PM Right there, is a reason why we dont like her. Danny is dating Gia's mom, Stephanie's friend, why does Michelle stick her nose where it doesnt belong? Thats of no concern to her.
Or what about when they were going to sell the house and Michelle didnt want to move? Who is she to make that decision?
Also, if I see the DisneyLand episodes on one more time, I might just skip the Michelle part. She acted like a spoiled, rich brat and what happens? A talking too? She could've vanished or god knows whatelse. She had no business taking off like that in the first place. I mean your queen for a day or whatever, lighten up a bit. And then you Stephanie take all the blame and feel bad and for what?
MrCleveland 04-06-2014, 02:02 PM Here's a new one to dislike Michelle...
In a cold opening, Michelle wakes-up Uncle Jesse so he can give her breakfast which was a teddy bears cereal. All she does is pour out the entire box into the bowl and finds the toy and leaves.
Then Jesse asks Michelle "What about Breakfast"? Michelle responds "Two Eggs...over-easy"! Jesse replies..."I'll over-easy you"!
Michelle MUST be spoiled throughout....
Furienna 04-06-2014, 03:40 PM Well, at least Jesse's response implies that he wasn't cool with it.
wiseguy182 04-12-2014, 02:13 AM 73. She never smiles, unless it's in a sarcastic way. I never once saw a genuine smile from her.
Furienna 04-12-2014, 11:27 PM Oh, come on! That can't be true!
wiseguy182 04-12-2014, 11:49 PM Oh, come on! That can't be true!
It is true.
You know, furienna, your excuse for everything on here is that 'Michelle was only a child at the time.' You can't use that for all 73+ items. And as an adult, she had no business killing Heath Ledger!
janet42 04-13-2014, 06:15 AM I don't know if you have kids or not, but Michelle acts like any normal kid that's the youngest of the family. As for Gia's mom, that was Stephanie and Gia's fault, they told Michelle when Michelle's dad and Gia's dad get married she will have to sleep in the dog house. They were teasing of course but she took them seriously. She was afraid of losing her dad completely. She was told immediately to change her clothers and explain her actions which she did. Again she is just a Character not a real person. I wonder what the Olsen twins would think if they read this site? Would they be offended or laughing their heads off at this thread because Michelle is just a character.

The Olsen twins are too busy using drugs to read this thread. I've heard the "she's just a character" argument approximately a million times.

It was rumored only Mary Kate used drugs not Ashley. This article doesn't sound like Mary Kate is using drugs now. She is too busy helping her sister Ashley promote their business.

Here is another article that indicates that the twins are doing well and are drug free. There hasn't been news about Mary Kate being on drugs or struggling with blumia in years. And the media are very nosy people, so it sounds like the twins are doing just fine.

arsensson84 04-17-2014, 06:56 AM Who cares what the Olsen twins would think if they read this post, janet42? Their opinion is next to unimportant from my point of view...
MacLeaper 04-17-2014, 11:18 AM 11. she existed.
20. she didn't die.
Wow.....
That seems incredibly harsh to me...I suppose at least it's just a fictional character being discussed here, but I don't agree with that attitude at all. I believe in loving everyone and hating no one and certainly not wishing anyone to die, but for all to live.
wiseguy182 04-17-2014, 11:42 AM Wow.....

Loving everyone? There are some bad people in the world, I don't agree with that statement at all.
Harsh? How Michelle treated other people was harsh. She treated her nephews like indentured servants, and constantly tried to get her own way (at the expense of everyone else) and never showed any positive emotion towards anyone. She is the most selfish person ever.
MacLeaper 04-17-2014, 12:16 PM Well, I don't disagree that Michelle did some harsh things at times, but I can still extend grace to her because of Grace extended to me.
And I do believe in loving everyone because that's what Jesus commanded and because God loves everyone. I agree that there are some very bad people in the world- in fact, we're all very bad people. That's the whole reason for Easter- God knew we have all done wrong and can never meet His standard of perfection- that's why He sent Jesus to live a perfect life for us- and to die a perfect death of atonement- and to have a perfect Resurrection. And when we put our faith in Him and follow Him, we receive His forgiveness and salvation.:) And that's something I celebrate at Easter, Christmas and every day of the year.
Ali Music 04-17-2014, 04:44 PM She was way cuter when she could barely talk
wiseguy182 04-18-2014, 08:07 AM 77. The Oleson twins use drugs.
78. The Oleson twins think they're too good enough to associate with their former coworkers
79. Michelle ruined Uncle Jesse's wedding. On more than one occasion.
80. there are two of the. One is bad enough.
KEEP IT GOING!!!

Michelle never had any nephews during the show's run. I guess you must mean her cousins Alex and Nicky? While I have a feeling that I haven't seen that episode, kids will do stupid things. And claiming that she never showed any positive emotion towards anyone? I still have to say that that can't be true... I'm with MacLeaper on this one. I mean, hating a little kid on an old sitcom, that was cancelled nineteen years ago? Really, people?
wiseguy182 04-21-2014, 01:56 AM furienna and MacLeaper: I think the question you have to ask yourselves is: Would YOU want to have Michelle as your daughter?
Furienna 04-21-2014, 02:44 PM Why wouldn't we? She's just a little kid being a little kid, as far as I can see.
MacLeaper 04-21-2014, 03:03 PM 77. The Oleson twins use drugs.
78. The Oleson twins think they're too good enough to associate with their former coworkers
79. Michelle ruined Uncle Jesse's wedding. On more than one occasion.
80. there are two of the. One is bad enough.
I don't recall Michelle ruining Uncle Jesse's wedding. (Though Jesse himself almost did that by skydiving that morning and getting arrested and almost not making it to the altar in time!)
The other three reasons here are about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen themselves. I am definitely against drug use and being mean and acting as if you're better than other people- but these complaints are not about the character of Michelle Tanner, so I really don't see them as valid. However, I suppose the actor or actress themselves can taint one's view of the characters they protray. Generally for me, there are a lot of actors and actresses whose lifestyles I definitely don't agree with but I still appreciate and enjoy a lot of their acting work. So for me, I can disagree with choices from people in the acting or music world, for that matter- and still enjoy some of their performances.
MacLeaper 04-21-2014, 03:18 PM furienna and MacLeaper: I think the question you have to ask yourselves is: Would YOU want to have Michelle as your daughter?
Sure! (Does this mean I'd be married to Vicki?;) )- I'd be happy to raise Michelle with my wife. As Psalms 127:3-5 say, "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."
So I view children as a blessing from God and I'd be happy with whoever He entrusts me with when I get married.
I do think I would discipline Michelle (and DJ and Stephanie, for that matter) quite a bit differently than Danny Tanner though, as I do believe in corporal punishment [which The Bible also speaks about], but it must be done in love. And I do think there are a number of things she was allowed to get away with that I would make a point to address- and no, not everything necessarily means a spanking right away- I do believe that different methods can be used for different kids at different times. But at some point, children do have to know you mean business and that you keep your word. Thus, if repeated verbal commands and warnings don't work and you tell a child the punishment they will receive if they persist in disobedience, then you must follow through with it if they do disobey again; otherwise, the child will know that you don't really mean it when you say they will be punished and they will continue to disregard the rules.
Of course, as I said earlier, this is also a lot of hypotheticals. Michelle Tanner is still only a fictional character- and a young child at that- who was still growing on the show and still needed to gain more maturity and responsibility, all of which comes with time and discipline. But she also needed love and good nurturing and she certainly got plenty of that- perhaps too much to the point where things were overlooked- and that's where grace and justice must meet because true love rejoices with the truth and must mete out some discipline for the overall betterment of the child as a person. It's a balance.
It's also just a TV show. If people want to list their reasons for hatred of this fictional character, that's their choice. I personally don't think it's worth the effort and I definitely don't understand the hatred, but I suppose that just shows the strong writing values of the show that it spurs up such intense emotional connections even so many years after it's been off the air. (19 years now- wow!)
So, I've said my piece on this and I don't really want to keep debating about it. If you don't like or even hate Michelle, that's fine- obviously, not everyone is going to like all the same things or characters. I'll just agree to disagree on that point and leave it at that. Take care, God bless, and may you always have a full house of love and peace.:)
mets82 04-21-2014, 04:05 PM I also think the reason why Michelle isnt liked is look at her sisters and family? I mean for the most part Danny, Jessie, Joey, Stephanie and DJ were all good people and somebody to look up too. I mean I think they were pretty good role models towards Michelle and yet Michelle still did what she did.
Furienna 04-22-2014, 07:46 AM But I still don't see her as that bad. She might have had a more bratty personality than what her sisters had, but that's not enough to make her a monster in my opinion. But obviously, she rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
Awesomekid6258 07-07-2014, 05:04 PM Number 53 was not Michelle it was Stephanie you ******** idiot
Awesomekid6258 07-07-2014, 06:35 PM http://www.polyvore.com/spongebob_nobody_cares/thing?id=67503543 you guys are stupid
Janice 07-21-2014, 12:05 AM There's no reason to have a thread for the sole purpose of listing 100 reasons to hate a character, and it took a nasty turn of hating the actresses, the Olsen twins. There's a rule against posting only negative messages against a show or a show's character (below). That's what the General Discussion board is for, to post negative opinions.
Still, I don't believe there's a place on this site for this thread. It's beyond the pale, which is why I'm locking it. I'm surprised nobody's reported it until recently. I do commend those who defended Michelle and the Olsen twins.
9. Don't go to another board to post only negative messages.
