I love watching him in other roles too. AB 03-18-2013, 03:24 PM He was also on an episode of Petticoat Junction which I saw on Youtube awhile back. I wish I could remember the name of that episode. It's always cool to see someone turn up unexpectedly on a show like that. JudgeGarth 03-18-2013, 10:56 PM You gotta see Hugh Beaumont in 'The Virginian' episode 'The Girl on the Glass Mountain'. He plays Pamela Austin's father and it's just like he's Ward Cleaver all over again! 1960'sTVfan 03-18-2013, 11:42 PM Hugh Beaumont was detective Michael Shayne in a series of 5 low budget mysteries for PRC studios in 1946-47. Three On A Ticket is probably the best film in the series, Larceny In Her Heart isn't bad either. Then in 1951, Mr. Beaumont was a detective again, this time in the short lived Dennis O' Brien For Hire series. I've seen one called Money Madness, Railroaded and most recently, The Lady Confesses. I don't want to give the roles away though, but they were all great. :D 1960'sTVfan 03-20-2013, 02:59 PM These are the movies I'm looking to see! My copies of Murder Is My Business and Larceny In Her Heart are TV airings from many years ago. Three On A Ticket is a rather grainy looking transfer from film, Too Many Winners was also transferred from film, not as grainy looking. Blonde For A Day is an interesting case, I have not been able to find a complete version of this movie. My copy runs 59 minutes, I put it together from two different sources. The actual running time of the movie is supposed to be 67 minutes. I guess 59 minutes is better than nothing. Prince Michael 03-20-2013, 04:02 PM He was also on an episode of Petticoat Junction which I saw on Youtube awhile back. I wish I could remember the name of that episode. It's always cool to see someone turn up unexpectedly on a show like that. On Petticoat Junction, Hugh Beaumont played Mr. Donald Elliott in the episodes "Meet the In-Laws" and "With This Gown I Thee Wed" and Ronnie Beckman in the episode "Every Bachelor Should Have a Family" . He also appeared on Lassie where he played Mr. Saunders on "The Well" episode and Jim on the "Cradle of the Deep" episode . Now that I think of it, was Donald Elliott the father of Steve Elliott ( Mike Minor ) who married Betty Jo Bradley ? I actually saw the episodes on youtube and I enjoyed him as always. His hair is all white, but he remained very handsome. :D Kabuki 04-14-2013, 11:15 AM Saw Hugh in the Rose Hill advertisement for plots with Jerry Mathers 1955...its on youtube!
