I never thought of Gilligan as a sidekick per se.

So I don't mind him under Tonto on the Lone Ranger. (Tonto is the probably only true sidekick.)

I don't mind Gilligan under Rhoda on MTM or Vivian Vance on Lucy.

But below Urkel, Boner on Growing Pains and Silvio on the Sopranos??

I never thought of him as a side kick either. The show isn't called Skippers Island after all. He is definetly a buddy, but not a side kick.

I can see Gilligan as a sidekick to Skipper. It doesn't change the fact that Gilligan is certainly still the main character of the show, but in terms of Skipper's relationship with Gilligan, Gilligan would fit as a sidekick- in my opinion anyway. And he's certainly always Skipper's "little buddy" too.:) :cool:

If it were Skipper's Island, then Gilligan might be just a sidekick.

The only true sidekicks on list are Tonto and Robin.
The others are more kooky friends.

Bob Denver got two nods, and that's good enough for me!

And if The Good Guys and Dusty's Trail had taken off the way GI did, he would have got 4 nods! :crazy:
