In Joey The Gigolo, Molly's father tells Nell he isn't going to fire her because he just sold the company.

Then in Parents Week Pt I/II Nell tries to get Eric's book published there.

Wouldn't Nell have lost her job when the company was sold, or was it not explained that someone else bought it and kept Nell there?

In the last episodes of the series, Nell didn't seem to be working at all. She was too busy going to Parents Week, to Alabama to save the church, et. It seemed like she wasn't working anymore.

LOL. I think she took leave of absence.

The writing was not good in the final season, plus leaving that "Someday, My Prince" episode to air the week before the finale was stupid as it should have aired in fall of 1986.

Nell was just too busy to work in the final season. We only se her at work 3 episodes...In Nell The Boss, The Window Pt I and Joey The Gigilo.

The compny is referred to in The Apartment, I Love New York, Someday, My Prince, and Parent's week Pt II. Not sure if any other shows. Nell might have said she did this and that at work, but never used her company name.

Had the show returned for a 7th season it most likely wouldn't have gotten renewed for an 8th. It seemed Nell was gonna move with Samantha on campus commute, and the series would have been mainly about them. Two of my fav characters, but I think she would have then left the company.

She kept her job. She was from being a reader to Assistant Editor. She was there but there were other activities that governed her life as well.

I am very impressed to see you post two messages this close together! I wonder if, by the end of the night, you will post any responses to any threads that I had started!

Last season sucked and adding that little blond kid for the cuteness factor didn't help much. I wished they had at least Julie & Jonathan live at the apartment building like Grandpa.

Season 7 would've been a step up with Nell being a bossy screaming busybody at Sam's college.
