Watching the episode now called "The Wiggly Finger Catalyst" and raj was depressed about not having a girlfriend. So they hooked him up with a girl who was deaf and I was wondering why?

He didn't have to be drunk to talk to her because she couldn't hear him anyway. It took a lot of the pressure off of him, but then of course she turned out to be a gold digger.

I think it would have been easier to hook him up with someone unattractive or very fat than deaf lol

He probably has the social phobia with all women, not just attractive ones. But from what I understand, he has a girlfriend this season. I don't know how that happened exactly because I haven't seen any of the newer episodes.
