Used to back in the day TV stations would air a variety of different TV shows, at the very most they MIGHT show 2 episodes of the same show back to back, but nowdays, it's like a station will pick up a couple of shows 4 sometimes at the very most and ONLY show those 24 hours a day.

Hallmark is guilty of this with the Golden Girls and Bonanza and I LOVE the GG dont get me wrong, but there are other good shows they could put on as well.

TV Land is guilty of this

Nick at Nite is Guilty of this.

And what happened to Nick!? Used to they were so cool, every new year they would have the count down with Kasey Kasem, they would let viewers call in and request shows, etc..

Yeah, tell me about it! I hate that too! I often dream of being a TV programer, so that I can fix that mess, but then, by the time I fix it, computers will have totally taken over TV, probably.

One of the many reasons I'm glad I gave up on Pay-TV six years ago. I like VARIETY, and "Block Programming" (AKA Marathons) are NOT my cup of tea. If you like that program, great, you can knock yourself out all day long, but what happens if that particular show isn't to your liking? Too Bad, that's all they're showing. When I turn on my TV and fire up my trusty player I'll watch severaldifferant TV shows from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
