I asked this question to my sister and she always got it wrong.
Who was the biggest star that came out of Fast Times At Ridgemont High? She always said it was Sean Penn. But it was in-fact Nicholas Cage. That movie made another small actor into a big one, Eric Stolz.
Now who was the biggest star to come out of Sixteen Candles. Sis always said, Molly Ringwald, but it was in-fact John Cusack.
Can anyone think of another star that started like that?

Anthony Edwards also had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part in Fast Times.

In my opinion, Sean Penn is a better actor than Nicholas Cage.

It did, before Elm Street Depp had little interest in acting. Wes Craven says his daughter is the reason Depp got the role, he was looking at head shots trying to decide who to cast in the part and Craven's daughter said he should pick Depp because she thought he was the best looking.
