Why did he look like he was in his 60's in The Jeffersons,he was suppose to be in his late 30's or early 40's in the show he even walked like an old person and he was somewhat bald they must have used alot of makeup on sherman hemsley to convince people back in the 70's he was middle aged man.

In those season 1 episodes you can see that he was young and that's probably why they added all that gray hair. But I did think he was 55 when I first started watching the Jeffersons

That walk he did was how he use to walk when he lived in Philly growing up. he said you had to walk like that in his neighborhood and he asked Norman if he could use it in the show and he said sure.

There is nothing you can tell me about Sherman Hemsley that I don't already know. I have tons of books and magazines in my apt and tons of TV specials and several interviews I watched on youtube.

He has always been my favorite actor and I know everything about the man because i been researching him for 10 years.
