she was in a relationship with Willis? Then she gets an attitude with Willis because he was saying he doesn't trust the GUY not Charlene and she gets mad and storms out.

Then she says......."It's a shame you can't drive me home like Sherlin"

Why didn't he break up with that dumb b*tch?

Willis should have dumped that dumb biotch. She proved that she's a user because she was only using that other guy because he had wheels and Willis didn't.

Then he goes out and steals Mr. Drummond's Limo:lol:

And why would any guy who doesn't drive want his girl getting a ride from another man? LOL

Charlene was so NOT worth all the trouble Willis ended up in. He got in trouble for stealing his dad's car, he got in trouble with the police, too. And for what? Some stupid biotch who is only interested in using guys.

I don't remember how she was written out of the show and how the relationship ended

I don't remember how Charlene was written out either. I never liked Charlene, but one of my favorite episodes that she was in was when Willis started that singing band and his band members liked Kimberly's singing voice better. At the time, I thought Kimberly sounded pretty good. But I haven't seen that episode in years so I don't really remember how she sounded now.

Well I will get to see for myself sometime this month because I don't think she is around in season 5.

BTW: After the cycle is completed on Antenna TV I won't be watching every episode like I am now on Mondays and Wednesdays. I;m watching now because I haven't seen the show in 20 years.

I don't count BET because they pulled the show before the cycle was completed

And when the show was on TNN I didn't get to see it because I was at work.

So I haven't watched this show entire cycle since I watched it back in the early 90's in Philadelphia

I haven't watched syndicated episodes of this show on a regular basis since 2002. I forget what network was airing it, but I'm thinking it was BET.

I think in 2002 it was on TNN and N@N in 2000. I didn't know it was on N@N in 2000 so I never watched it.

So that is the reason why I have not missed a episode on Mon or Wed since it started

Maybe it was on TNN. I just remember it was on at a time I was working nights and I'd catch Different Strokes when I got home.

I had to use the image section of a search engine to find out that Charlene was played by Janet Jackson...("Miss Jackson if Ya Nasty!") because I didn't put the character name with the face. I remember her on the show because she and Willis had decided to have sex (both for the first time) and they were very nervous and things kept popping up and getting in the way at inopportune times. A classic episode. But in response to the OP, you'd be hard pressed to find a guy that would dump Janet Jackson very easily....and especially if she was willing to have sex with him....which she was; with Willis.

I don't care how good she looked. If I was in a relationship with a girl and didn't drive and she gets upset because I have a problem with her being in another man;s car then it;s time to end things.

Charlene could have atleast LIED that she was getting a ride from another guy:lol:

Then we can peacefully and respectfully agree to DISAGREE. Here in New York, its all about how hot, sexy and cute your girlfriend is. So us men in New York put up with 5 times the crapola that men in other states put up with because we have (and do what we have to do to keep) the finest, hottest sexiest young women in the country.
And yes, they walk all over us and spend our money like it's water on expensive things that they don't need. But boyyyy......these women are as sexy and beautiful as women get.

Charlene should have known that it would hurt Willis' ego to know that she was getting rides from other guys who had cars. It seemed like she was trying to make him feel bad because he didn't have a car. She was thoughtless. Willis should have dumped her. He was a decent looking guy who could have gotten dates with other girls anyway.

How much a man tolerates from the woman he is in a relationship with is parallel to how gorgeous and sexy she is. The sexier she is, the more he will put up with. Willis could have gotten other girlfriends, but he would be hard pressed to find one on the level of Janet Jackson - Miss jackson if you NASTY.

No. There were others. However, Charlene was the long term steady we saw on screen.

The episode from season seven during his post break up from Charlene. He has his new girlfriend on the couch. Arnold and Sam start clowning him in front of his new girl who ends up dumping him. This is the ep when Willis is used by a female cop (Anne Marie Johnson) to take down a drug ring in Willis' high school.

Was there a mention of why he broke up with Charlene on the show or did they just ignore it and had the viewers assume they were no longer together

No. Unfortunately, the reason behind the break up was not given. They just went on ahead with another storyline. I do know from reading that Joe Jackson made her take the role in the TV show "Fame" during that same season (84-85) she was not on DS. Needless to say, she hated being on "Fame"(per Ms Jackson).

No. She didn't have to move, it's just that there was no focus on her anymore. Could she have moved? Possibly but it was never mentioned. On Boy Meets World, the character "Minkus" was gone after season one but in season five, he is back, bitter and acting as though he has been going to school with the rest of the cast for the duration of the series as he is angry when another character beats him out for valedictorian. So it is possible that Charlene stayed with her family in the Bronx but maybe she did move. I guess we'll never know...

You can do that but also realize that b-plot storylines and characters back in the day were easily dispensable. So, you may not get an answer. We do know that she and Willis had a blowup when she moved in with the Drummonds and then they made up. She then made her last appearance in the Wedding episode. After she appeared less and less, it was easy to say that they broke up after Janet Jackson became a regular on "Fame" the tv series.
